My geeky heart is in love. Just so in love. I don't even know whats the best part of this fic. Maybe the conversation they have? Wait. It has to be the online conversations. Seriously. Just have to.

Okay. I didn't have high hopes for this (tbh when do I ever?) but I was bored and I have pretty much scrolled through most of Merlin fics at this point (don't worry, I have a huge list of fics that I want to blog about). And my train of thought was pretty much "sounds different, is not that long, why the fuck no". And here we are, in love and I want to read this again.

I am not going to lie and say that there are things you can't guess and everything is awesomely written. There are some things that really bother me. But because this is fic and this is about people hanging out via internet we can let those little things slide. So bear in mind all that.

Besides the point. I love how these two interact. Like they just can read each other and understand each other. I like that in the show too. I also liked how the whole magic thing was replaced by the whole hacker thing. It made sense and it was pretty awesome. Also. Every mentioning of WoW and becoming super geek about it is always a huge plus for me. I love that game.

The only thing I didn't really get was the ending. Maybe I wanted something else or maybe it came too soon or something. I just want to read more of this. I really, really do. This was that good. But good fic is always a good fic, even with not so perfect ending. And the ending doesn't suck, more like I just wanted more for the ending. Or something along the lines. 

So, please. Go and read this. Send the author all the love you can via kudos and comments. And just go and read it. Please. This is totally worth it. ❤️

Random Fandom Week 11 [Merlin]

I started this blog post ages ago. I am not even sure when I read the first Merlin fic, but it was somewhere last autumn, I think so at least. The thing just was that I did not have time for fics or my blog or anything at all. So I ignored this and thought I would do it next week. So here we are, literally months later and I have this huge problem with picking six fics.

Anyways. I am not that huge fan of the tv show. It is just something that I use as background noise when doing puzzles. Yea. My attention span is pretty close to zero. But because I was bored and I knew that there are a lot of Merlin fics out there, I just had to try reading them. Boredom is a huge factor in my reasoning to do stuff. And I liked the fics. I really did. So now I just have one more fandom that I can get lost into. Okay. I know. I have to actually watch the show at some point, I can't just stop to the second season. But that is something future I can deal with.

So. About the fics. I wanted something different for this one. Or at least that was the idea with the first ones. But I may have lost the point somewhere because there were just so many fics where to choose from and I may have just randomly picked a couple of them. Maybe. But here we go. 5 + 1 Merlin fics where Merlin and Arthur are idiots together. Have fun!

Arthur just needed to know that he could take a good dick pic. He wasn't going to do anything with it, obviously. It was just an experiment, just a test he had to prove to himself that he could pass. Drunk Arthur had other ideas, though. Who knew there were people online willing to review other people's dick pics? And frankly, Arthur was never going to settle for anything less than an A+. 

I am not sure if this is crack or something else. At least I have never read anything like this before. And I loved every single second I was reading this. Like who wouldn't? Also. If there is a blog that actually rates people's dick pics, send me a link. I want to see that shit and maybe laugh myself to death,. Yep. That sounds like a perfect idea for a boring Friday night at home.

I don't even remember what was the actual plot in there. But that is not so important. More important part is how everyone just loves Merlin. Everyone wants to protect Merlin (Arthur included). And that is just something so precius that it needs to be looked after and have it's own fic. Like this one.

On the morning of their Annual pre-Christmas Dinner, Merlin is shocked to find out that Gwen thinks his boyfriend, Arthur, isn't good enough. But after a glimpse into Merlin's quirky flat, Gwen realizes that she might not have the whole story. 

In Supernatural fandom there was an episode for the car and in Merlin fandom there is a fic for a apartment. For some reason this really fits Merlin, like there could actually be a house that is just so perfect for him (and Arthur) that the house itself came to life. Sounds magical and perfect for them. Until I find that, I will just promote and love this one. Okay. Even if I find that fic, I would still love and promote this, but point stays!

This whole, dating assholes and other awful people, thing fits Arthur for some reason. In the show, all his one episode length interests are with idiots and always magic related. So this whole idea that he can't find a proper partner is kind of perfect for him. And then Merlin saves the day, as usual.

Arthur has a boyfriend whose identity he will not reveal. Uther has a personal assistant whose job depends on following his every order. Uther demands that his PA find out who Arthur's lover is. Merlin is not particularly happy.

Why I am having so much fun with these fics? Like every single fic just makes me smile and be happy? Why? How? What? I don't understand. Seriously. Even this had it sad moments but I am still smiling. Why. Seriously.

And for the + 1 part we need at least one soulmate fic. Because what fandom would really be a true fandom without soulmate fics?

Soulmates. The one thing I always like to read but I am never going to understand. Like, do serial killers and rapist have their soulmates and what is their destiny? What about paedophiles? Are their soulmates like 30 years younger or another paedophile? Or just what the fuck in general? I do not understand. But I like these fics none the less.

Its been literally years since I saw this movie last time. The thing was that I loved the movie, I really did and then at some point I just hated the movie. If you have ever seen it, you know what I mean. The first half of it, is fun and something I would love to watch more. But the last bit, fuck that, seriously fuck all that.

The other thing was that I did not understand back then the plot or the politics or anything that was playing in the background. I didn't know how fucked place Poland was (is) for lgtbq people. I still don't. And I would love to just close my eyes and pretend none of it exists. But stuff doesn't work like that.

So here I am, thinking about watching this again and trying to find fics that would make me feel better about the whole movie. It's just that there doesn't seem to be fics that would be just the first 20min of the movie and then made it longer. But there are these little parts about something else and I have to just enjoy the little things I can find.

So in the nuthsell. You want to cry? Watch the movie, read this fic. You want to hate world? Do those two things. You want to find something beautiful? Still the same answer. This is tragic and I love the fic because Aleks is so out of it, he can't process whats happening and what he wants and maybe he is a little bit dead inside. Maybe.

Or maybe I find the perfect that I've been looking for the past forever and I don't have to read sad, beautiful stories anymore. Maybe. We will see. But until then, read this beautiful, tragic oneshot and please, watch the movie.

I have not read anything in a while. Not because I don't want to read or that there is nothing new to read. I just haven't had the inspiration for reading anything.

So a couple of days ago, I was bored and literally, I went through a lot of different tags and parings and fandoms and everything. I wasn't looking for anything special or some specific fic. I was just browsing. But today, I came across this. This masterpiece.

To be honest, I opened the whole fic by thinking about how shitty this is going to be (this one doesn't have that many kudos when comparing to the awesome larry fics) and I was just disappointed at this other mafia fic. So my hopes and expectations were low.

Anyways. I read the first chapter and it didn't inspire anything new in me. I liked the way they worked and how everyone was in the fic. I also liked how Liam was the cop and Niall was pretty much just Niall. Zayn was the wild card that he always is, mysterious and dark. The way everyone wants him to be. And then there are the lovebirds.

So the thing is. I don't wanna spoil this. All I really want to say is that I have not been this excited about a fic in a really, really long time. Like probably years. This was that good. So please, go and read this. Go and enjoy this. Go and make the author feel all the love they should feel after writing this masterpiece. Seriously. You won't regret it.
