This goes to that category where Kirk has so many problems and maybe those problems have their own problems too. But this time, it is not Kirk who is trying to overcome them. This time it Pike who is just trying to understand the problems and how he could help Kirk overcoming them. And then he finds some new problems. But there is a happy ending! That is very important part too.

The sad part is how people are still harrassing others who are slitghly different to others. And then the people who are suppose to be responsible adults are just not understnding whats going on and punishing the bullied kid. The scary part is how someone can go almost 30 years before anyone even notices that maybe Kirk is on the spectrum. 

But you have to love Pike for understanding and helping Kirk. And love his weird way of doing things. Yeaaa. Pike is weird, but so is everyone else to be honest. And his ways got the result so I think it doesn't even matter how he did it, as long as Kirk and everyone else is happy. Yay.

Oky. I had a point what I want to write about this. I really did. But right now, I can't remember it. So we have to go with these way too short and simple praises for this awesome fic. Yup.

I don't usually blog about series but this is one of those series that I cannot blog about. I liked every story in this (so far at least, the two complete ones and the one in progress one).

But the thing here I want to mention is how the story evolves around Spock and Kirk. How it shows their life from when Kirk was just a baby and Spock stole him to when Kirk gets promoted to Captain and he is over 30.

The other really good part was how it was all shown from Spock's point of view. Like he tries to understand humans and how he tries to have a connection with Kirk. And in the middle of that, he still tries to have a life that may not include Kirk and him kind of even forces Kirk to have a life that doesn't include Spock.

All those small details and in the middle of all that they meet and see each other. And fall in love. Yea. What there isn't to love? I don't know. So yea. Go and waste your whole day to this series. Totally worth it.

One of the best things in here, was how it all made sense and how Kirk dealed with things. He had reasons why he did things the certain way. Maybe he kinda hid himself but at the same time he was super proud of himself. Also Kirk's backstory was just pure gold. Seriously. There was nothing I didn't like about how he found his identity when he was a kid. Just good.

Spock on the other hand is a little bit too noisy fucker. Yup. Thats all I am gonna say about Spock.

And I really don't have anything special to say about the story. I just liked Kirk so much and his backstory and all that. I just liked it and I wanted this fic here because of that. Even if you ignore all that, the fic is still good and so worth it. Seriously. Go and read this. You won't regret it. And make the author feel loved. ♥

This far I have found two good Stark Trek fic that has something to do with their off time in Yorktown. This is the other one and, hopefully, at some point I will blog about the other one.

But the reason why I liked this was because these two talked. Maybe they didn't resolve anything that often and they had made some mistakes (if you can call those things mistakes) in the past. But in here there was some kinda dialogue going on with them. They didn't just suffer alone in the corner with their feelings the whole fic. Okey. Jim kinda did at some poin and in the ancient history but thats besides the point.

There were also lot of thinking about life and how things would be on the new Enterprise. Then some compairing the new one to the old. I liked that. I also liked how much feeling the ship had to them and how it was shown in there. It had been their home over the past years and they were sad to lose it. They were really human about it (even Spock in his own ways). And those were the things I really liked.

There were a tonne of other things I also liked. But those two are the main things I wanted to share and I want you to find the rest of them by yourself. So go and read this, please. Thank you.

192 000 words. Well. At least about. But still. A shit ton of lot. 

I had my doubts first. Like. Am I gonna like this, have I the patience to finnish this monster, is this gonna be worth it? But seriously. I read about 70% of this in one day (more like in 5 hours but whatever) and the rest took me about a week to finnish. There is something seriously wrong with that sentence, but what can you do.

But seriously.

Consent is something huge and sometimes really hard to determine. Is it yes if you dont say no and how can you say for sure that that person is saying yes for the right reason. This whole fic like made that whole consent issues a way more important and... I become more aware of it, kinda. Not like I have not tought about before but I never tought it would be that complex. Yea.

The other things I want to mention is how Kirk has traumas, like a lot of them, and those traumas affect everything in his life. There is no part in this fic where those traumas doesn't have a say on his actions. He doesn't know when Spock is saying yes and when he is making Spock to say yes. He didn't actually know if he wanted to Kodos to fuck him or not. He just is big sag of issues. Seriously.

And I liked that because it affected things, he worked stuff out but there was no magical button that he pushed and then everything just vanished. The progress was slow but it was there, in somewhere.

I also liked Bones. And Spock and everyone else in there. Maybe not so much of Winona Kirk but othervice I liked almost everyone (minus the bad guys, ofc).

Still. The best I liked were the small things. How Kirk had this thing he did everytime someone dared him to do something, like that just repeated trough the fic. How there was small mention about things, like Kirk working in sircus and how he can't talk about it because lawsuit and how that got mentioned a couple chapters later. And there were more of those things. They just made the chapters to blend to each other and made the story to have a history that was with the story the whole ride. Seriously. Just the best part.

I also want to say that this was totally worth it. The whole thing was worth the reading, it was way better than I expected and I read it faster than I tought would be possibly. Yup. There are probably a lot of other good stuff I should mention and praise but I can't remember them right now. So please, just sacrifice couple days for this, its going to be worth it. And then make the author feel loved. Read, Comment and Leave Kudos. Thank you. ♥

Jim Kirk has a complex relationship with food. He also has a complex relationship with a certain first officer of the US Enterprise. For a genius, Jim is kind of an idiot for not realising this was going to come back to bite him in at some point.

In which Spock is protective, the crew is protective, Jim is oblivious (and definitely not pining), and they all get there in the end.

The most interesting part of this is how Kirk got problems after Tarsus and how those problems actually haunted him years later. The second awesome part was how those things were shown there and how Spock reacted to them.

Somehow it all just felt like this could be real and thats how it feels to have problems wirh food. Yea. That was the most important thing I wanted to say. Yup.

Also I liked how personal this was. Kinda. No idea how to describle this other than personal.
