I am stuck in  this idea about unreliable narrator. Here I just didnt really know what to believe and where to consentrate. Which is weird but also probably the main point. The whole point is probably that Q is not sleeping enough and cant really figure out everything that is going on around him. Then somewhere there James is causing a lot of havoc. Or something.

I dont know.

This is basically just one of those awesome pieces magnetiwave always writes. And thats most of how or why I fell in love with it. The way they write and express things. Just perfectness.

In the month following M’s death at Skyfall, things inside MI6’s Q branch never seemed to get back on the right track. For the last two weeks, missions had started to show cracks. Nothing major at first, but little things all the same. All involved in Q branch’s intel. Or bugs in the tech that got sent out with the agents. The problem with that was, all of those individual incidents led back to one man... Q. 

 I would love to read fics about Q going rogue or how he is the enemy. I am not sure how the plot would go or what the fic would contain because I don't like the idea of Q becoming new Silva. Just nope.

Anyways. This is pretty good second option for that head canon. Q is treated as if he is the bad guy and he just tries to survive. Kinda. But with a twist. Or maybe just Q being the huge nerd that he is and doing things that no one really can follow. Kind of. Maybe.

This fic is pretty mellow and sad and depressed enough for me to fall in love. Bond made sense with how he got used by everyone and Q made sense because fuck the life he had. And somehow it all just made sense for them to get away and start their life over. Kinda. Or maybe not.

To be honest. I kind of waited more rebel Q and more actions and something else. But this may even be better than what I wanted or expected. This was just.... depressed where life just keeps going even when you are not actually noticing it going forward. So super depressing. 

Can I just stick with one word and be done with this? Yea. I can do that. So. Byyeee.

In retrospect, maybe hacking the earpiece of the most dangerous weapon MI6 has to offer to help him take down an international crime syndicate you just so happen to be a part of hadn’t been such a great idea after all.

In Q’s defence: the undercover agent pretending to be his bodyguard still hasn’t made a move to kill him, and he’s getting bored.

I have this picture of rogue Q being bored and just going with the flow until something interesting happens. This fic is probably the closest I have found about that picture.

Basically, Q watches after James and at some point, their roads cross. Somewhere there are Q's boss' plans to kill James and keep Q safe. And somehow Alec comes to picture and makes everything more complicated.

But the reason why I liked this, is because there was so much happening at the same time. Some things you knew while reading and some things were big mysteries (some of them stayed as mysteries until the end). Like Q's boss who knew more than Q thought he did. And then the whole Alec and James part, where they didn't know about each other. I'm not even touching the whole Q's siblings thing.

To be honest, in the end, I really wished there was some kind of sequel to this. But this is just so good without any of that, so I'm happy that this has not been destroyed with a shitty sequel.

Bond and Q are drawn together by names, work, and a certain Aston Martin. In which Q is kidnapped once, Bond is poisoned twice, and Eve is a badass on at least three occasions. AKA that time I tripped and wrote 80,000 words of 00Q.

I still don't like slow build fics and, for some reason, I'm still reading slow build fics. Even I don't understand myself. Why I want to torture myself so much with stuff like this?

Okay. This is not 100% slow build fic. But mostly. There are parts where they literally dance around each other and then there is a shit ton of pining and being ignorant. Yup. But still is kinda slow build fic. That's all I am gonna say about that topic.

The fic itself is so many things. I started to read this with the idea that this is going to suck. But this wasn't bad. Like not bad at all. This was actually pretty good and there weren't even that many things I didn't like. The only major thing I didn't like was how people still have to include the movies plots there in the middle of the fic and use the lines and everything. The good thing about that was how the writer actually used the movie for their own good and altered something so those things could mean more in the fic itself. That was one of the best parts of the fic.

There were also small details that carried on through the fic. Like the car. Or more like the meaning of that old Aston Martin. Then Alec's and Bond's relationship was also good. It made sense even when it didn't really make that much sense. I just liked it.

What else?

I don't know. There were a lot of things I liked and made this totally worth it even when in the beginning I thought that this is going to suck and be super bad. This was a positive surprise this time around, thank god. So please. Spend a little bit time reading this and make the author feel loved afterwards. Thank you! ♥

Originally working for a gaming company, Q ends up working as the nanny for Mister Bond's two children. But when the kids no longer need him and he finds a job in his field, Mister Bond isn't so keen to let go.

My first thought of this was literally what the actual fuck. How can Q go from being a coder to babysit Bond's kids? Seriously. How do you do that kinda career move? I still don't really understand it but it is pretty logical after you have read the beginning.

The only thing I was missing in the whole story was what kinda life they lived while Q was babysitting. There were some moments told and how those defined their life but I was missing more the day to day life. Everything besides that was pretty good. Yup. Even pretty logical after you get past the whole weird fic idea/plot .

To be honest I just have no idea what to say about this. Not because this was different or anything. I just for some unknown reason have nothing to say. Just remember that this was good and awesome and really fucking different. And also remember that Q will not work for MI6 in this, not in any way. You can hope and dream and then crash and burn but Q will still not work for MI6. Yup.

But aromance is a real thing and Q is that. It is kinda good here how Q has been insecure at some point has found his way in the world over the years. Makes him more human.

James, on the other hand, is kinda mystery in here. What he really wants and why he keeps doing thins. But he is so good and well written in that so it's just so gooood. These two are good in their weird ass friendship. It is weird but it fits them and their personalities and how they work. It is just good.

And I wouldn't mind reading more fics like this. Seriously. I really, really liked this. So go and read this, also make the author feel loved via comments and kudos. Thank you. ♥

It's common knowledge that angels make good weapons and terrible soldiers. They're hard to kill, hard to catch, and leave a swathe of destruction wherever they go. That's why MI6 likes them.

James Bond, Agent 007, is one of the most devastating weapons MI6 will admit to having. Explosions follow his every whim and he's nearly impossible to kill, despite the best efforts of terrorists worldwide. He's second only to the weapons MI6 pretends don't exist- archangels are only a theory, after all.

I have been kind of lost with this one. I liked this and it was good in everything. All that background info and those book quotes and emails at the begging were just so good. There was so much thought put into them and to the whole world. One of the best part was also how all that information wasn't forced into the story.

But the reason why I have been lost is because I kinda can't keep up with everything. There is this one character just jumps once in a while or her name is mentioned and she does something and I have no idea who she is. Then some other things like that. Probably I missed something back in the beginggin or something like that. I don't know and I really don't actually care that much. If I did, I would have stopped reading this ages ago.

Probably all that is just in my head because the rest of the fic is pure gold. There are so many details and sides on things. Q is Q but at the same time he is someone else and then he is also archangel. And then there are reasons why some people know things and why some people don't. Maybe there are even reasons why some people don't get to know some stuff when at the same time people at their places usually know that stuff.

I just like the whole Q's childhood secret thing and how some people get to know it. And then there is Bond who is suppose to know but doesn't know for reasons like Vesper.

Okey. Maybe I do not like the whole Q's father thing. The whole thing is logical and makes sense and is actually pretty fucking amazing. I just don't like it for some unknown reason. Something just bugs me wrongly with it.

Yea. Maybe there are a shit ton of things I really didn't like about this. Maybe even enough so that I wouldn't normally blog about this. But I really, really, really want to blog about this. I want to share this and show how somethings something super weird and different can work when you put enough thought into it. 

Also I really liked this as a whole. The whole big picture was great and the idea was even better than that. So yea. Totally worth to check out and read. Just remember to comment and give kudos for the fic. Yup. Thank you.

I had a really good feeling about this the whole first chapter. I pretty much liked every single thing. Like everything. In the second chapter there were things that made me just bleh. Third one then again.. Nothing to say.

I have nothing bad to say. I just liked the first chapter the most. Like really liked. Everything was just perfect, the writing style (okey, it was awesome trough the whole thing), the characters (same) and everything. The most surprising part is probaly how I don't like James Bond and Sherlock crossovers that much in general but I really liked this, like really, really liked this.

Maybe it has something to do with how vague everything is. Nothing is explained to the core, sometimes things just happen and there is zero explaining and then, at some point way later, there is small explanation that lights the lightbulb in your head. Maybe that is one reason why this fic hold it together. There was no consentration to the details. Sherlock just dies the way he planned. Sherrinford's dead is vague shit with fire and fake bodies and shit but not explained to the core. Just enough explanation to keep the interest but not enough to go over board or getting mixed with incorrect shit.

Yea. All that. And a lot of other stuff.

(And maybe I kinda just miss Moriarty a little bit, a little. He was amazing on his own way.)

When I opened this and when I started to read this I tought this was a different fic. I can't remember the other fic's plot or anything, this just reminded me. I have probably blogged about the other fic but whatever. This post was suppose to be about Grace Period.

Okey. I don't want to lie. There were a lot of stuff I did not like. The paragraphs were sometimes pretty long and for me it was hard to keep track where I am going (not writers fault, just my huge laptop screen does not help). But. I really liked this as a whole.

There were these things about feelings but not enough to be drama (huge plus!), no pining, no crying over lost lovers (well, sadness at some point and angst but no tears). They were clear with each other (kinda) and understood each other. There were no stupid misundestandings. Like seriously. All those things I don't like in fics were absent in this. Like seriously. Everything. And what was left were just the parts I really like.

Yea. I should probably just mention how perfect this was but there is no such a thing as perfectness, so we can skip that whole thing. Yea.

Just go and read it. Enjoy it. And make the author feel loved with kudos and comments. ♥♥♥

(The whole Sherlock thing over there ? You can totally skip it. There are barely any mentioning about Sherlock and only comments about Mycroft being the British goverment. Just saying that that exist there somewhere.)

This made me smile. Yea. Thats the most important part.

The other important part is how normally these calm Bond fics feel, most of the time, like something is coming and some action is in the future or at least something that gets your blood moving. But here, I just didn't have that feeling. This was just calm. Not fake calm, not calm before storm, just calm.

Yea.

007 is the perfect assassin, an artificial intelligence with the ability to think for itself. Human emotions were never meant to be part of its programming, and Q was never meant to be anything more than its creator.

To be honest I had no idea what to expect from this one when I started. Probably something along magic and something impossible at the end. But probably not anything that this fic was in the end. Yea.

Still... No wait. I have no idea what my feelings are towards this. I have no idea what to think about this one. The only thing Im pretty certain is that this was good, the plot was good and the writing was good. Everything else? Still a huge questionmark to me.

There are just so many things I don't understand (Q doesn't undestand, probably no one does) and lots of stuff that makes zero sense. On the other hand all those things are kinda logical. Not sure how to explain it without actually spoiling the whole thing. Then there are a lot of things I don't know what to think about.

Just. The whole fic is full of things that I just don't know how to react or think or anything. Just plain questionmark. And that probably one reason why I just had to keep reading and why I still want more, just more. I want to understand and get more knowledge and just get all that info that I ever could get.

Yea. Starts to sound more logical and better. Yea. Totally worth it. Seriously. So worth it. ♥

M doesn’t bother answering James’ attempt at humor but instead continues in his point. “Since your return from the Skyfall operation, which was over a year ago I might add, you have not taken one day of leave, no holiday of which I'm aware. You haven’t rested the requisite 48 hour period between mission and report.”

James takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

“You are not a young man,” M says plainly. “Everyone, even James Bond, needs time to let wounds heal, both physical and mental. Pushing yourself is going to get you or someone else killed eventually.”

“So not another mission then?” James asks and moves to stand.

Or, James Bond is forced to take a few days off, runs into Q at a kebab shop, starts playing World of Warcraft, and takes a trip to Witney to meet Q's family (for reasons of national security, of course).

I had this plan. Stop playing WoW and read something. So I could at least get a small break from WoW. So I chose one from my open taps on the browser (or at least thought so) a Bond fic where should not have been any mentionings of WoW. But seriously. I was so wrong on so many levels. (or maybe I should just start to reread the summaries before actually reading the fics).

This fic is about two guys bonding over a fucking video game (an amazing one but still). Fucking hell. In other words you could say this is about how World of Warcraft can get you laid, even when some fuckers say it makes you forever virgin or something shit along the lines.

The only question left is how much people get from this fic if the don't know anything about WoW? Like what do they miss or how many questions this leaves them with? I want to know. I really, really want to know what goes inside their heads.

Still. There was this one moment where I really decided I want to read this. Or maybe more like there was this one paragraph that just made the whole reading thing more interesting. Yea.

People are interesting when they triumph despite flaws. And people become friends when one figures out what those flaws are. Intimacy is about the exchange of flaws, when it comes right down to it. It’s trusting another person to see weakness and still focus on strength.

And after that there was no going back for me. And I used my whole day for this (minus the couple hours playing WoW and the 30min break I took for Pokemon hunting, yea I know I have problems but I really dont care).

But Im guessing no one can actually understand what the hell Im talking about. So please. Just read it. Its awesome even if its super long oneshot. Seriously. Its so worth it.

(and i keep loving Q's cats' names. seriously. Mycroft and Sherlock.)

At three o’clock in the morning approximately six months after Bond’s return from Kazan, Russia, M received word that the unthinkable had happened.

“Someone hacked our system,” Tanner told her, speaking a little too fast.

I have nothing to say about this. I didn't actually plan to write about this at all. But.

This needs a mentioning. This needs something. Not sequel or anything. But something super good and best and something beyond that. Because this was good and I liked this and all the rest. Yea.
