This one.. Lest just say a day well spent. It didnt took me the whole day to read this but it took all the free time between lost of crap that happened today to read the whole thing.

Back to the fic.

I don't know what to say first. I don't know about all these stories where people have some kinda powers and some powers are better than some and some are more common or uncommon or shit along the lines. I don't know what to even think about them. But sometimes these stories are good and sometimes they arent. This one is one of the good ones. Yea.

Maybe the most hard part in power stories is to balance between telling too much and not telling too much. You can't just expect the reader to know everything but on the other hand you just cant explaine everything and all the little things, it will just tiring and boring and too much information. So basically the good stories are always somewhere between those two.

And I liked how there was info and how it still went forward. I also liked how there was a huge shitty part in these powers (how goverment wants the powers, how they have learned to use technology to block some powers etc) and it all just made this one beautiful big world.

Or maybe it has something to do with whole James Bond thing but I always love it when everything is not perfect (the characters and their lifes and so on) it is more like rugged lines and sad people finding comfort from other sad people. I just like it. Plain and simple.

So yea. Go and waste big part of your day while reading this. I promise it wont be for nothing.

Louis works in a library where his own books sit on the shelves. Also, there may or may not be a Harry Styles involved and he may or may not be Louis' muse. Not that Louis is admitting to anything.

I dont get that excited about anything these days. At least not about fics. I read them and like them but its tnot like I really love them and care about them that much. There are couple exceptions but not that many. Which is why I have kinda just started to read fics that sound interesting and not caring about fandom. And to be honest, I kinda found this fic from tumblr under some random tag. So yea.

But anyways. I have had this stupid, goofy smile on my face like the whole afternoon since I started to read this. This was just pure gold. And I dont know how to describle my feelings of this. Which is why the goofy smile on my face should be enough for you.

Basically Louis is writer, a fucking amazing one but he just writes under different name. And in his free time he works at library. Yub. Somehow all the boys are there around him and are just awesome. Harry is this uni student who reads books about monkeys and other stupid subjects. Its all just pure smut and fluffy and happy endings. Even if those don't excists, its nice to think that they do.

And I dont know. I hope that goofy smile is enough for you because I really liked this, maybe even loved and this kinda restored my faith in good fiction (the crap I have read lately is fucking pathetic).

Every big city has its share of organized crime. This city is no different, having a long-term association with the Hale family crime organization. The problem for this particular city, however, is that the crime has been getting steadily worse each year. In part due to Peter Hale's leadership, which is ruthless and cunning, and in part because of his highly effective nephew Derek Hale who has taken on the mantle of his family upon his parents' deaths. 

Nobody has been able to infiltrate the Hale family using conventional covers. A guy couldn't just hang around one of their bars until he looked familiar enough to one of their goons to start asking about some action. They were too good for that. Way too good for that. 

And someone has to take them down. 

But there is only one route left. A difficult route. A new face that none of the Hale family's informants would know. And a young enough face to fit the profile of the sort of boy Derek Hale might... recruit.

This is one of those fanfictions that I would love to see as an actual novel one day. And hopefully it will, or at least the writer will get some kinda eBook deal or whatever those are called. Hopefully.

The second thing about this is how I don't remember reading the city's name anywhere. They are always talking about the city and some parts of the city and codenames and things like that but not once they have mentioned the name of the city. And somehow it really, really works.

But back to the whole fic. Stiles is undercover cop and Derek is one of the leaders in big crime organization. And somehow, kinda, maybe, hopefully, probably they fall in love. Maybe. I dont know. There is just this weird tension between them and you can see all the problems in it but you cant see one clear way to fix things (which just makes it so much better).

Still. The fics main idea is that Stiles will get information out of that mafia so the cops can arrest Peter. And somehow being a whore let him get inside of that huge organization and then into a really good position in the crime family.

And the part that I really loved was how Stiles is struggling with his double persona, a cop and a streetkid. His streetkid persona is arrogant and mouthy and sarcastic where his cop persona is calculating and thinking in long term. And somehow its still just so Stiles all the time. (And maybe I like his streetkid persona a little bit more, cop persona is boring.) Derek on the other hand is his dark, twisted, quiet himself. And the part of whole crime boss really suits him, have to say.

So yea...

Till this point I havent found a thing I dont like. Which is really weird because Im in chapter three or something in the book two and normally I hate at least something in fic. But not in this one. Maybe it says something, maybe not. And hopefully I remember to blog about the book two also at some point (maybe at that point when its finished and complete) but yea. Have to remember to do that.
