Random Fandom Week 12 [Shameless]

I probably shouldnt have done this. Im only halfway trough the series, when for some reason, I thought it would be great idea the check if there are any good fics. Because this is good show, its pretty popular and the characters are just pretty damn awesome. But now I have kind of destroyed the show in my head. I have spoiled myself about stuff and I know the ending (like I didn't know from the start that Ian and Mickey will marry at the end, everyone knows that but there are details that I did not know, didn't want to know). Now tt kind of feels like I will not finnish the show, I'll probably just read all the fics and be happy about myself. Or hate myself. Something.

So basically my whole fic hunting was all about finding complete fics that are not a crossover. Thats it. But I still have not come across a one fic where Ian and Mickey aren't the main couple. Okay. Maybe I haven't tried that hard, but its only been a week. Or more like four days or something. So I have not had the time to go to the deep end.

Its not even that I dont like Ian and Mickey. Its more about how Fiona (and maybe Lip) are my favorite characters and Im just a little bit lost. This is not saying I have not enjoyed every fic and haven't really found a new fandom where I'll be lost the next forever. More just saying that, this was not what was my plan. 

These fics were chosen because they are oneshots. I'm not ready to read anything with zillion words and million chapters worth of fiction right now. So oneshots it is. The only problem is picking the fics, because there are so many good ones. And after this, I will probably find even more better fics. So enjoy this whole mess that this week has been for me.

Every fandom has at least one fic with faking the whole dating thing. This is it in Shameless. Even if its less about faking and more about not communicating. Which is kind of weird, because in every other fic, these two are rocking the whole communication thingy. But not here! Here they are just a big hot mess.'

Mickey’s always been scared of getting his words. The words which start to show up a couple of weeks before you meet your soulmate, somewhere on your body, beginning so pale they’re barely legible and gradually fading into inky black; the words which will be the first your soulmate ever says to you. He’s hoped that he’ll be like Terry and never get them at all, because he knows that when he meets his soulmate, it’s gonna be a guy, and that’s dangerous, too dangerous to be worth it. 

So of course, with his luck, he gets them when he’s only seventeen. 

This is that soulmate fic. I had two options for this one and picking one was almost impossible. The only reason I picked this in the end, is because this is longer. There is more to enjoy, more missery and just more everything. Thats it.

Newlywed, living in the family home, and keeping an eye on both Liam and Franny while all other guardians are unavailable, Ian finds himself thriving on the new domesticity of his life. Surprisingly, it seems like Mickey does, too. 

Domestic life fits them perfectly. The whole family life, with kids and house work. Everything. Its just so in character, in fandom, in everything. The whole vibe is just spot on. Usually I get bored while reading fics with this much boring, everyday life. But with these two, they deserve it so much that I just cant not read it.

Much to Liam and his classmates’ surprise, Mickey picks him up from school. 

One other thing I love about this fandom, is the support they give to each other. How they are always there for each other and how they are just a one huge family. Yea, Gallaghers are siblings, but V, Kev and Mickey are just as much as family as everyone else. And it shows.

Carl Gallagher needs definitive proof that his brother is in a relationship with the neighborhood thug, and boy does he get it.

I have not made my mind about Carl. Sometimes I like him, most of the time I just don't understand him and all the rest is just a big mess. But I like reading fics about these two from other people's perspective. Its fun, entertaining and brings something else to the fandom.

This time the +1 part is two stories. Or more like one story but its in two parts. Or more like, one story but two versions. Something like that.

Before I had even decided about making this blog post, I had decided this would be the +1 part. Because I really liked the Ian part of the story, I liked how he got hooked on Mickey and just went back. But then I read the Mickey version and I just coudn't get enough. I just wanted to read more and more and more. I am kind of disapointed that there isn't a third story, but I can live with only these two.

Random Fandom Week 11 [Merlin]

I started this blog post ages ago. I am not even sure when I read the first Merlin fic, but it was somewhere last autumn, I think so at least. The thing just was that I did not have time for fics or my blog or anything at all. So I ignored this and thought I would do it next week. So here we are, literally months later and I have this huge problem with picking six fics.

Anyways. I am not that huge fan of the tv show. It is just something that I use as background noise when doing puzzles. Yea. My attention span is pretty close to zero. But because I was bored and I knew that there are a lot of Merlin fics out there, I just had to try reading them. Boredom is a huge factor in my reasoning to do stuff. And I liked the fics. I really did. So now I just have one more fandom that I can get lost into. Okay. I know. I have to actually watch the show at some point, I can't just stop to the second season. But that is something future I can deal with.

So. About the fics. I wanted something different for this one. Or at least that was the idea with the first ones. But I may have lost the point somewhere because there were just so many fics where to choose from and I may have just randomly picked a couple of them. Maybe. But here we go. 5 + 1 Merlin fics where Merlin and Arthur are idiots together. Have fun!

Arthur just needed to know that he could take a good dick pic. He wasn't going to do anything with it, obviously. It was just an experiment, just a test he had to prove to himself that he could pass. Drunk Arthur had other ideas, though. Who knew there were people online willing to review other people's dick pics? And frankly, Arthur was never going to settle for anything less than an A+. 

I am not sure if this is crack or something else. At least I have never read anything like this before. And I loved every single second I was reading this. Like who wouldn't? Also. If there is a blog that actually rates people's dick pics, send me a link. I want to see that shit and maybe laugh myself to death,. Yep. That sounds like a perfect idea for a boring Friday night at home.

I don't even remember what was the actual plot in there. But that is not so important. More important part is how everyone just loves Merlin. Everyone wants to protect Merlin (Arthur included). And that is just something so precius that it needs to be looked after and have it's own fic. Like this one.

Acts of Man by Wreck 

On the morning of their Annual pre-Christmas Dinner, Merlin is shocked to find out that Gwen thinks his boyfriend, Arthur, isn't good enough. But after a glimpse into Merlin's quirky flat, Gwen realizes that she might not have the whole story. 

In Supernatural fandom there was an episode for the car and in Merlin fandom there is a fic for a apartment. For some reason this really fits Merlin, like there could actually be a house that is just so perfect for him (and Arthur) that the house itself came to life. Sounds magical and perfect for them. Until I find that, I will just promote and love this one. Okay. Even if I find that fic, I would still love and promote this, but point stays!

This whole, dating assholes and other awful people, thing fits Arthur for some reason. In the show, all his one episode length interests are with idiots and always magic related. So this whole idea that he can't find a proper partner is kind of perfect for him. And then Merlin saves the day, as usual.

Arthur has a boyfriend whose identity he will not reveal. Uther has a personal assistant whose job depends on following his every order. Uther demands that his PA find out who Arthur's lover is. Merlin is not particularly happy.

Why I am having so much fun with these fics? Like every single fic just makes me smile and be happy? Why? How? What? I don't understand. Seriously. Even this had it sad moments but I am still smiling. Why. Seriously.

And for the + 1 part we need at least one soulmate fic. Because what fandom would really be a true fandom without soulmate fics?

AU where soulmates can’t lie to each other. (That’s okay, Merlin wasn’t planning to lie to Arthur anyways! Haha.. ha.. ha…)

Soulmates. The one thing I always like to read but I am never going to understand. Like, do serial killers and rapist have their soulmates and what is their destiny? What about paedophiles? Are their soulmates like 30 years younger or another paedophile? Or just what the fuck in general? I do not understand. But I like these fics none the less.

Random Fandom Week 10 [Good Omens]

I did a thing I regret. Okay. I do love the tv show, it was just perfection. David Tennant is the best and Michael Sheen seemed super awesome (his name at least is) but I don't really know anything about him. But the tv show had all the things I love about good shows. Like everything.

There were super weird plots, super weird storytelling ways and all the characters were just a little bit weirder than the others. Just perfectness.

So. I did a thing where I thought it would be awesome idea to read fanfiction because there is a shit ton of it. Like a lot. A lot lot. So. This is me diving into the deep end and just maybe not surviving it. But this is life and life (fanfiction) is suppose to be fun and exciting. Also. I may have stashed one multichapter fic for later blogging, so this does not contain the five (plus one) best fics I have found so far.

So have fun with these 5 + 1 fics I chose this time.

Aziraphale nests. Crowley relearns some crucial facts about angelic courtship rituals.

I kind of like their miscommunications. Because.. Yeah okay. It is kind of cliche how they think that the other thinks something but can't really talk about before it becomes a huge problem. But somehow these two have spent so much time together that it feels like it couldn't happen that often, even when they don't really talk they still understand each other. Or something. No idea how to explain it but something like that.


You're the Only Prayer I Need by Kedreeva

Crowley had, in the six thousand years Aziraphale had known him, shed his skin exactly twice that Aziraphale knew of. Both times he had disappeared without a trace, having retreated somewhere very safe and very, very unknown to hide while he was so vulnerable, and Aziraphale had never thought to ask beyond that information. Everyone was, he had supposed at the time, entitled to their secrets.

The problem was that he had stumbled directly into this secret now, and there was hardly a graceful way out of it.

I like the idea that Crowley controls water with fear. For some reason, I really love that idea. I also love the idea that because he is a demon the magic he has is actually him controlling stuff with fear. I am so in love with that idea. Like please people, write about that. In the mean time I will love the fic where he just controls water (and plants) with fear.

Nanny, Warlock had decided, was a hypocrite.

First of all, there is a sequel to this which is also awesome. But I gotta love Warlock in this. His sneakiness and Crowley's way of handling it. The whole balance of good and not-so-good in here I just so juicy and perfect. Somehow this just sums their whole relationship from someone else's point of view.


Wings and How to Hide Them by triedunture

Crowley's been annoyingly in love for six thousand years. What's another lifetime between friends?

Or: Aziraphale definitely fucks and isn't that just perfect?

What I like about this is that somehow in here Aziraphale is not so good. In a way. He has this vibe that he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants and he is not as naive as everyone seems to think. To be honest, you need to be a little bit rebel to be friends (or more) with Crowley but here it really shows. He is still good in his core and all that but the rebel is in front and I like that a lot.


A Home at the Beginning of the World by stereobone

"Oh," Aziraphale says. "I think Crowley might have moved in with me."

This was the first fic I read. And I couldn't stop smiling throughout the fic. So this was also the moment that I knew I was hooked. Okay. I knew I was hooked while watching this awesome show but this just made it more certain. Yup. This just brightened my day.


The + 1 part is one of these things that I am not even sure what they are. But its still awesome!

Crowley and Aziraphale are very possibly the people least qualified, on the entire planet, to start up an advice podcast.

But what else is there to do when the world isn’t ending anytime soon, you’re technically on indefinite sabbatical from your lifelong careers, and you need a plausible excuse to spend more time with your best friend who you’re definitely not, absolutely not, maybe just a little, actually maybe overwhelmingly in love with?

To be honest I have no words for this. Seriously. This is one of those things that I just open because my mind is just going "what the fuck is this?" and curiosity still hasn't killed me. So maybe I am doing something right. I guess so at least.

Random Fandom Week 9 [Entourage]

To be honest, I kind of promised myself that I would not read any fics from Entourage fandom when I started watching the show. The point is that I liked everything in this show, everything. I like how they are foul-mouthed, they curse, they are real and everyone is so different compared to others.

But then I had this dream last night (or the night before? this week anyway) where the guys from Entourage were hanging out there somewhere. I don't really remember what they were doing or if I only had a feeling that the dream had something to do with them when I woke up. But the more important part of that dream is that there was some kind of love triangle going on. I don't know between who, but they were all dudes and these two were together and the third one was about to get to that mix. The only thing I do remember is the crazy one laying on a table and trying to kiss one of the other dudes.

So when I woke up I had this inspiration to read some kind of drama about the Entourage gang.

Yea so. This whole little trip to this weird fandom has been kind of awesome. Okay. The whole reading all the fics kind of destroyed my plan to watch all the eight season of Entourage in a week. But besides that, I regret nothing. Seriously. There aren't that many fics but most of them are just pure gold and awesomeness. So yea, I am addicted. The problem just comes with how there are not that many fics. The sad news is that this one post is probably going to be the last I ever write about Entourage fics. Sad but true.

But here we are and I found five Vince/Eric fics with super happy endings for them and that + 1 part is still awesome fic but without the kind of ending you would have hoped maybe. Something like that. So enjoy!

Top Billing by astolat

Eric looked at the bill and the neat little line of coke lying on the polished desk. This was clearly the beginning of the end, doing coke with Ari Gold on a Friday night, just so he could get i's dotted and t's crossed. (Written for Scribewraith in the Yuletide 2007 Challenge.)

So I think this was the first fic I red. I had all these insecurities about how the writers can keep the characters true to themselves and how Ari is going to be there. Also all that banter going on around the place, if the fics will have that or will it be lost there somewhere. And this. This fic delivered everything. This was perfect and I don't think I would have kept reading these fics if this one had disappointed me. But thank god it didn't.

Boys Will Always Break Your Heart by fourteencandles (thingsbaker)

The boys are coming to town and staying for a while, a month, maybe, because Vincent has a new part in a big movie — “Scorcese, Ma! Pretty cool, huh?” — and he wants to just soak things in. Lois holds her tongue about that, too — as far as she can tell, Vincent Chase has spent the better part of the last few years just soaking things in, letting things happen to him, letting Eric make things happen. She holds her tongue because it wasn’t always that way, because both of the Chase boys probably deserve some easy goodness in their lives.

Then in the other direction, this is the last fic I have read so far and one of my all time favorites. In the whole series there isn't that much of talk about their childhood in New York or about their parents or anything really. Only those couple episodes where they visit New York and that one where Vince and Turtle's moms come over to L.A. I kind of missed more of the backstory and this just fit the bill perfectly. Just loved Eric's mom and how everything was so simple but at the same time it was complicated. This was just about normal life and people getting to places but at the same time they left pieces of themselves back and this is also about meeting those pieces again.


Zen and the Art of Scheming by Sylvia

Vince loses his Zen, it's all E's fault, and Vince is simply not going to put up with it.

 I had this plan to have all these fics from different perspectives. But I couldn't really find that many perspectives so.. I literally just lost the idea. But this fic stayed because I liked Vince in this. I liked how he felt himself and how he kind of didn't really care about anything but at the same time he cared way too much about everything. Yea.


The Heartbreak Kid by astolat

Vince wasn't planning on it, that was for sure; it just sort of happened. There was a party, somebody started truth-or-dare, he picked truth, somebody asked, "Have you ever kissed a guy?" and he said no. So far so good, except the cute-but-toasted girl curled up against him started laughing and said, "Come on, not even Eric?"

If you wanna cry, this is the perfect fic for that. Mostly because they are so codependent on each other and because they suck at communication. But mostly I liked how Eric made his own life in this, how he got success and made something out of himself.


Love Like Semtex by exeterlinden

Usually Eric hates the "it just happened" shtick, but this, this just happens.

Well I had two options for this last of these five fics and I am not even sure why I picked this one in the end. Maybe because this made complicated feel like uncomplicated and I liked that. And maybe because they are both so insecure and kind of out of it? Or maybe there is some other reason that I just don't know yet. But this is good and weird.


And here we go with the +1 part of this trip.

There's No Replacing You by fourteencandles (thingsbaker)

“You really don’t get it?” Turtle asks.

“Get what?”

“The resemblance.”

Eric frowns. “To what?” He’s thinking of Vince’s last few girls, but there’s no resemblance there.

“To you,” Turtle says, and now Eric’s really confused.

So I am not saying that there isn't a happy ending, because there is. But it is different kind of happy. And the most important part of this fic is the character growth. Especially Vince's. Yea.

Random Fandom Week 8 [Vikings]

I had no idea what to expect when I started this week. And I am kinda surprised, awed, freaking out here because of this. First of all, the only reason I even started to watch the show is that there was nothing else on HBO and mom wanted to try this (one of the reasons were the Finnish actors Peter Franz and Jasper Pääkkönen). So. We kinda stayed up the whole night and watched the first season. Yea. Not the smartest thing you could do but whatever.

So. After seeing all the 5 seasons (that has been done so far) I wanted to try the fics. Okay. This happened on a night when I was bored out of my mind and just wanted to see what people had come up this time. And this whole thing? This is more than I could have ever thought. Seriously.

But these fics. I have no idea what I have done to myself. I am kinda hooked to the whole threesome thingy and I haven’t even tried any other kind of fics yet. I want to read something about Ragnar’s sons but I need to get over this whole threesome thing first. So yea. I kinda fell in love. Kinda. Maybe. These are just so weird and awesome and nothing I could have ever expected. Yep. Also. Definitely, the best part of these fics is the non-existing drama. They are adults who can actually talk and discuss their problems and don't go creating more because they are idiots. Or that is the feeling I have gotten so far.

This one I picked mostly because the freedom they have in themselves. Like they are just so at home with their own bodies and fine with everything. And I really love that about Ragnar and Lagertha. They just are and are happy that way. And you can see all that in this awesome porny oneshot.

Ragnar and Lagertha hear Athelstan busking in a park by chance on the same day they lose their opening act. They convince him to come along with them as they tour their way across the country, and he fits into their lives better than they ever could have hoped.

To be honest, I tried to avoid this one first. I didn't really want to read anything long and I kinda wanted a soft start that would be over quickly in the case that I didn't like the fics. But why to do that when the fics are amazing and the characters are just pure awesomeness? So this happened. And I liked their lives and how the kids were there with them through all of that.

Even after reading this I am not sure what to think of it. I like this idea where their lives are put to the modern day. Like how it all could go if they lived today. Also lots of other things. Athelstan's thoughts and life in there are also really interesting. And something else. But yea. I want you to make your own opinion about this.


Casting Couch by Farasha

Athelstan, down on his luck, kicked out of seminary school, and trying to face homelessness with dignity, gets picked up at a bar by Ragnar Lothbrok, principle adult film star at his wife's studio. Ragnar leaves Athelstan with his card and a choice - try to survive in Los Angeles with no income and no place to live, or give Lost Brook Studios a try.

This fic is entirely the fault of Travis "I can't keep my hands off George Blagden for five minutes" Fimmel, most specifically in this interview.

And the porn part of the list. Yup. Pretty much nothing else except a lot of talking and thinking. But then porn and lots of it. Be happy.

The +1 part of this list is actually the first fic I ever read in this fandom. The fic is also the reason why I stuck with this threeway.

Ready Your Heart by brilligspoons

A young man, dressed in glittery clothes that are really inappropriate for the cool weather they're having, stops and looks between Athelstan and the shopfront briefly.

"You judging or just shy, sugar?" he asks.

Athelstan blinks and says, "I just realized that I'm dating a married couple today."

Or, in which Athelstan doesn't really understand what's going on, but he's surprisingly okay with that.

There is probably nothing in this oneshot that I do not like. Like literally nothing. It is just pure perfectness. Seriously.

Random Fandom Week 7 [Vampire Diaries]

The truth is that I never wanted to watch the whole show. I knew I wouldn't like and I never planned on finding out what was so special about vampires this time. But, super drunk me thought it was a super awesome idea to watch eight or so episodes in one night. I don't really remember anything about those episodes (I don't even really remember that much of the first season, to be honest). But for some reason when I woke up, I thought why not spent one day watching this because I was too hungover to really do anything.

So. Now... Fuck I don't know. I like Damon and that is the only reason why I have watched this so much. Stefan sucks, Elena sucks, every single teenager in this sucks. They act like they are 30 but instead of working they go to high school every other day or more like they attend these high school parties and fundraisers. But at any point, they don't seem to actually study anything.

Anyways. I got that point where I hoped the fanfiction would be better than the show (like with Teen Wolf, I am still stuck at the third or fourth season) but the beginning was not so great. I still found these 6 good fics and I want them to my blog but I am not so sure about reading these fics anymore after this. But we will see about that in the long run. Also, I have no idea why I got stuck with the whole Dalaric pairing, seriously. I was kinda aiming for Delena fics but that was harder than I thought.

It's been four years since Alaric died. But the bartender is definitely Alaric.

This hit all the spots with me because Alaric got his happy ending. Okay. This is not 100% happy ending with amnesia and Damon being sad and miserable. But besides that. This is the happy ending Alaric deserves and we have to be happy about that. Because at least someone got to grow old with the love of their life. Yea. That.

But I like this and I like this fic because it shows how those two could actually work together. Yeah.


For that +1 fic, I wanted to have something totally different from everything else. I don’t usually even read 3-way fics because usually, I don’t even like them. But this, this is totally worth it and I hope you enjoy it. Also. This was the first fic in this fandom that I actually read. So there is that too.

This. Okay. Let's start with that analogy of how three-legged stool works and how that really makes a lot of sense. Like a lot. A huge amount of sense. Besides that, I was not sure about this at first. But after a while, this makes a lot of sense and is probably one of the best fics I have read in awhile. Like yea.

P.s. I am so gonna get involved with Damon/Stiles pairing at some point. I read couple total shite fics about it but also a couple pretty good ones. So you will see those at some point in the future.

Random Fandom Week 6 [Mortal Instruments]

Fuck this.

Okey. I have blogged about Mortal Instruments fics, I have even put some Malec fics into those PWP oneshot megaposts that I do sometimes. But I still, really, really wanted to the whole random fandom week where I list couple awesome fics about a new fandom. So what if the fandom isn't that new? So what if I have kinda already blogged about the fandom? So fucking what.

I wanna do this and I am doing it. No one can say I can't do this.

The thing with Mortal Instrumetns and me is that I have read the first book. I also have read the first 20 pages from the second book (or something). I have seen the movie and I also spent one weekend building a Star Wars puzzle and at the same time watched the tv show. So I kinda like the whole world (I don't like the tv show that much, no idea why and I also don't like the books that much, but I am planning on finnishing them so there is that).

And Malec. To be honest, I liked the whole Clary/Jace thing more when watching the movie. I didn't even pay that much attention to Malec in the book either. But I liked Magnus in there, he was my favorite in the movie and in the book. But it was not until the tv show that I really started shipping Malec. They are just so perfect and awesome. I like them and thats it.

The whole thing Alec marrying Lydia was weird. It kinda made sense in some way but I really didn't get it that much. I didn't even understand how Alec got so far away from his siblings so fast and the whole plot till the wedding was kinda weird. The wedding scene was also super weird (doesn't mean I didn't like it). But this. This is good and how things could have went. Yup. Okey. Only thing is why Alec had to be such a drama queen about it but whatever.

Magnus is always the more confident compared to Alec. He knows himself and he trusts Alec a lot. Maybe it has something to do with being hundreds of years old. But here he trusts Alec and wants everything best for him, even one more friend and better life. He wants Alec to have everything. Yea. Kinda sad when you think about it, but the ending is happy and everyone is happy so whatever.

In Malec fics, its always certain that they have super good chemistry and they just like each other from the minute they meet. So here they don't really like each other, they can't stand each other. So this can so be the +1 and fit to the week perfectly.

Random Fandom Week 5 [Star Trek]

I have wanted to blog about Trek fics awhile. But. There is always a but. Last time I tried to blog, all the fics that came across were some serious weird shit, slavery and raping and bloodthirst and a lot of violence. I dont mind those fics so much, I can read them and sometimes I even like them. The point is that I don't want everyone else to think that there are no other kind od fics in the whole fandom.

Also I did not choose one paring for this week. Mostly because I didn't like the whole Kirk/Spock thing before this (after this week however I kinda really like it). So yea. Its still mostly just Spock and Kirk. Ha.

So this whole thing is how I finally found six awesome fics that could suit for a bigger group of people. Yeah.

But I still have to warn you about this fandom. There are a lot of different stuff, some of them full of fluff and some of them full of murder. Something for everyone I suppose.

Im not even surprised that Star Trek has it own version of soul mates and even have a own word for it. Seriously. Even the chess part of this fic is unsurprising.

And could someone please invent a paring name to the whole Spock/Kirk thing, like there is ForstIron for Tony/Loki and Spideypool for Deadpool and Spidey and so on. But nothing for Spock and Kirk. So please. Make that to be the next thing in your inventory list.

Random Fandom Week 4 [Spideypool]

Okey. I admit. Spideypool is not a fandom, its paring. But it kinda felt stupid to just write Marvel as fandom and too long to write Deadpool and Spiderman both there, so compromising.

But seriously. I have read Deadpool comics (also Iron Man and X-Men and lots of others, mostly just Star Wars) but I have not read the Spiderman comics. I have seen the movies or at least some of them if that helps it or anything. So yea. Thats basically where I start with this week. And fuck I would be lieing if I didn't say I can't wait to see the Deadpool movie. Something good happening this year at least.

Somehow I got this feeling that all of these fics are somehow slowbuilt. Not the fic itself but the story in there. It takes them years and years to get that good point and then its pretty much accident or sleep deprevation or something along the lines. Not bad at all. Just different, good kinda different.

Like what the fuck kinda ranting that you want to understand but you just cant and its just pure gold. I really hope you understand what I mean because this is goooooood. Really good. Yea.

Random Fandom Week 3 [Suits, Harvey Specter/Mike Ross]

So. Basically I have read one fiction out of this paring before. Like literally one and I dont even remember what that fic was about. All I remember from that fic is how Harvey was a really huge role model to Mike and then things got out of control. Yea. And that is awesome point to start reading fics from Suits. Even when I actually like the whole Harvey/Donna thing.

But I literally saw the first episode by accident. Im not even kidding. We have netflix app in our tv and its slow as fuck and I was too fast for it and instead of clicking Modern Family I clicked this one and the rest, as they say, is history. The good part of the story is how I really, really fell in love. Like really. Maybe after Teen Wolf (Mike kinda reminds me of Stiles) and Tru Blood (dont ask) I wanted to watch something I really liked for a change. So here we are.

The thing goes the same as before. I dont know anything about the fandom. I dont know which ones are the most popular fics or what is the proper way to enter this fandom. Im just picking one paring and reading fics that I find interesting.

To be honest I thought all the fics would be more like this. Something incoherrent and vague but still having a real, solid plot with weird humor and other weird stuff. And thats why its good to end this journey to this one. And all I really want to tell you is that get a beta reader. In the last forever I havent read this many grammar mistakes or other small typing errors. (that was also one of mu reasons for picking these six fics, they didnt have any typing typos or plain ignorance of reading your own fic after writing it).

Random Fandom Week 2 [Teen Wolf, Sterek]

Um. Yea. I still don't like Teen Wolf that much but I wanted to read these fics. Like really try out these fics and shit. So yea. Here I am again. This week is deligated to Sterek paring. And thats it.

But maybe firstly I want to comment about why the fuck people keep writing fics about fake relationships. Like fucking seriously. There were tons of those in 1D fandom and now the same in Teen Wolf. And before these two I have like read zero fics based on fake relationships. Fucking seriously.

Is this some kinda trend or something? Please explain this to me. I would love to understand the thing about fake relationships and why it is so awesome plan to fake being together for family or for public image or for some alpha wolf conference. Yea. Please do that.

But back to the point. 5 +1 good fics from Teen Wolf fandom. And still goes the thing where I say I have no idea if these fics are the most popular ones or shit like that. I haven't read this fandom before (if you don't count two or three random oneshots) and I dont even know who the fuck half of the characters are (just watched the first eight episodes of the show altogether). So yea. 5 +1 fics. Thats it.

The first fake boyfriend kinda fic. Yea... There is also magic and magic is always wicked cool. Like seriously. Especially floating objects and furniture and people. Just cool. So enough reasons to count this as one good fic.

In which Derek has been invited to the Greater Pacific Northwest Alpha Symposium (that's not what it's called, Stiles, stop saying that), and showing up unattached would mean an arranged marriage. When the rest of the pack objects, he agrees to let Stiles come along to pose as his mate. Derek is reasonably sure that he's not going to make it out of this weekend alive.

At this point the whole smell thing is getting kinda boring because fucking seriously. I have no words for that but it seems people just need to make Derek smell like Stiles and vice versa. Seriously. Wolf things are weird. Seriously. And their noses. Maybe I have to watch more Teen Wolf to understand this. But I really liked Stiles and his way too sarcastic personality. Stiles is probably my favorite at this point.

A Strong Heart and a Nerve of Steel by lupinus & uraneia

Stiles and Derek wake up married in Vegas. Well, they would have if it was legal. 

In which Stiles is the president's son, Derek is his bodyguard, and Papa President orders them to pretend to be in love for the sake of gay rights. 

Or in which uraniea and lupinus combine meeting the Hales, President Papa, waking up married, fake/pretend relationship, First Boy Stiles, and bodyguard Derek into one fic.

The lying thing? What. Seriously. Again the whole thing where I need to watch more of Teen Wolf. Or maybe I could just read the wikipedia page and be happy about it. Would that be enough? (or maybe read tons of fics and get some kinda shitty big picture out of this.) But I really liked the idea of Stiles' father being the president and how Stiles' life sucks because of that. I really liked that.

Being a responsible, good adult person who can actually take care of.. themselves is actually pretty overrated. Yea. Whatever this fic is actually about the one important part is being an actual responsible adult that is just not true and no one is that and yea. Bullshit your way through life. Like Stiles. Yup.

Yeah. Like I could avoid posting something that has 5 + 1 in my whole list thing. Seriously. But the point was that I dont even know and that got to be good enough for you. So whatever. Its good and thats it.

Random Fandom Week 1 [One Direction, Larry]

I have rules in my head. Do not read fics about real people (yea, like I listen that one so much these days). Do not read anything too kinky (I actually listen this one most of the time because it destroys the whole thing in my head). Do not read Star Wars fanfiction (like never, ever kinda deal and I'm so sticking to this because Star Wars is holy and you do not sin it). And the rest of the rules are kinda minor but those are the lines I do not cross. But when I do, I decided that I need a tag for that and then I came up with Random Fandom Week where I use one week of my life just reading fics from one fandom. One fandom I have never read fics from before.

So. I have tried to read a couple One Direction fics before but not actually from the beginning to the end, more like "ou this sounds interesting and then it wasn't after all that good", so yea. And I have to admit (after spending this one week reading this stuff) that there isnt that many fics I like in this fandom. Probably most stuff that disturbs me in these fics are lack of knowledge in some things.

Like for example in one fic (can't remember the name, probably never even finished reading it) there was comment how one of the guys had played the Skyrim through. And lets just be clear about one thing, Skyrim is a never ending video game, you can't just play it through in four days or what the fuck ever, you just don't do that. And FYI there are video games besides FIFA, just ask google. And then there were some other stuff like that.

But if we ignore my nerd side and some other minor things that bugged me, the fics weren't all total shite (I kinda loved all the British words). So here goes the top 5 (+ 1) that I liked.

(some of these can also be one of the most popular fics there are but fuck it, I don't know anything about anything, so fuck it.)

Harry doesn’t think of himself as a womanizer, not at all. Sure, he enjoys sex, enjoys how women feel underneath him, and by some people’s standards he has sex with quite a lot of people, but that’s no reason to tell him that he can’t have a female PA anymore. 

It’s especially no excuse for giving him a male PA who’s possibly the most gorgeous boy in the world who won’t even let Harry look at him for too long. 

Sometimes Harry hates his life.

Oneshot and long as fuck. But one of the best fics I have read in a long time. This also felt so different than the others in this fandom so this really earns the first place in top five fics I have read in the 1D fic world. I probably should recommend this to you even if you are not that much into the fandom/paring/whatever. Yea. Maybe. But good none the less.

The One Direction PR management team decides that Harry needs to get married. Harry doesn't want to. Louis comes up with the perfect solution to the problem.

I have no idea about normal 1D Larry fics (seriously, I have only read like less than 20 of them so yea) but somehow there seems always in the end to be kids, like a lot of them. Maybe there is somewhere some kinda explanation but whatever. This just made me smile all the time and shit like that. (also there seems to be a lot fake boyfriend fics, what is up with that thing ?)

I don't know why I chose this to be one of the five fics even when this is good and I liked how everything was beautiful in a really painful way.

This was just so smooth and pirates makes everything just so much better. Okey. But seriously. This one was probably the first one where these two didn't end up happily together (there was hinting how they are gonna meet again and stuff but they didn't get together). And I wanted something different to my top 5 list anyways. He.

The answer, as Harry is about to learn, is ‘being woken by a call from someone else’s mum the morning after a big night. 

or, the one where Harry 'accidentally' takes Louis's phone home after a party and then there's sex.

And we need some porn to end this One Direction thing. Yup. I actually had one other fic in my mind for the porn part of the list but that thing was long (like 50 000 words or something) and I didn't have the energy to finnish reading it. I also don't think its fair to you to promote a fic that I haven't read through so yea. We are gonna take this one. And there is also a plot which is a huge bonus.

And then the +1 that is some kinda trend in fic world right now or something like that.

He had always been able to keep his feelings in check, to maintain their friendship, until Louis went off to University and started dating Liam. With the realization that he might actually lose Louis, Harry is forced to confront his feelings for his best friend.

Hmm.. We need one cliche, sad lovestory and shit. And this is that. Fills the part perfectly and yup. Thats it.

So yea. Now I have gotten this fandom out of my head and probably never gonna return (at least I don't see any reason to return) but feel free to leave to comments links to other good 1D fics. Yeaaa. You are welcome. Thanks.
