There’s a veela in town and they’re hosting a masquerade ball in search for a partner. Anyone who wants to come is invited. 

But that’s the furthest thing from Harry’s mind: he has coursework and third year Auror group cases to do while his teammates sit around talking about the ball. Anyway, who needs a veela partner when you have Draco Malfoy randomly appearing in your house bearing new clothes and delicious food on odd days? 

I really like the idea of Draco just basically moving to Harry's without asking anyone. One day is he is just there and thats it. Everyone just goes with the flow and don't even comment the whole thing. Okay. Basically the same goes the other way too, but the point stays.

The good part of this fic was how obvious Harry was the whole time. He didn't notice anything, he just went with the flow and was content with his life. Maybe I would have expected for Harry to be more noisy about his shitty boss, but this version fit the fic Harry better. Maybe it added to the whole idea how Harry is a little bit lost with his life and everything. 

I also liked how Draco was a kind of mystery. Harry didn't know what he was doing or where he spend most of his days or anything really. Draco just came and went when he wanted. I would love to read more about this kind of Draco. 

Random Fandom Week 12 [Shameless]

I probably shouldnt have done this. Im only halfway trough the series, when for some reason, I thought it would be great idea the check if there are any good fics. Because this is good show, its pretty popular and the characters are just pretty damn awesome. But now I have kind of destroyed the show in my head. I have spoiled myself about stuff and I know the ending (like I didn't know from the start that Ian and Mickey will marry at the end, everyone knows that but there are details that I did not know, didn't want to know). Now tt kind of feels like I will not finnish the show, I'll probably just read all the fics and be happy about myself. Or hate myself. Something.

So basically my whole fic hunting was all about finding complete fics that are not a crossover. Thats it. But I still have not come across a one fic where Ian and Mickey aren't the main couple. Okay. Maybe I haven't tried that hard, but its only been a week. Or more like four days or something. So I have not had the time to go to the deep end.

Its not even that I dont like Ian and Mickey. Its more about how Fiona (and maybe Lip) are my favorite characters and Im just a little bit lost. This is not saying I have not enjoyed every fic and haven't really found a new fandom where I'll be lost the next forever. More just saying that, this was not what was my plan. 

These fics were chosen because they are oneshots. I'm not ready to read anything with zillion words and million chapters worth of fiction right now. So oneshots it is. The only problem is picking the fics, because there are so many good ones. And after this, I will probably find even more better fics. So enjoy this whole mess that this week has been for me.

Every fandom has at least one fic with faking the whole dating thing. This is it in Shameless. Even if its less about faking and more about not communicating. Which is kind of weird, because in every other fic, these two are rocking the whole communication thingy. But not here! Here they are just a big hot mess.'

Mickey’s always been scared of getting his words. The words which start to show up a couple of weeks before you meet your soulmate, somewhere on your body, beginning so pale they’re barely legible and gradually fading into inky black; the words which will be the first your soulmate ever says to you. He’s hoped that he’ll be like Terry and never get them at all, because he knows that when he meets his soulmate, it’s gonna be a guy, and that’s dangerous, too dangerous to be worth it. 

So of course, with his luck, he gets them when he’s only seventeen. 

This is that soulmate fic. I had two options for this one and picking one was almost impossible. The only reason I picked this in the end, is because this is longer. There is more to enjoy, more missery and just more everything. Thats it.

Newlywed, living in the family home, and keeping an eye on both Liam and Franny while all other guardians are unavailable, Ian finds himself thriving on the new domesticity of his life. Surprisingly, it seems like Mickey does, too. 

Domestic life fits them perfectly. The whole family life, with kids and house work. Everything. Its just so in character, in fandom, in everything. The whole vibe is just spot on. Usually I get bored while reading fics with this much boring, everyday life. But with these two, they deserve it so much that I just cant not read it.

Much to Liam and his classmates’ surprise, Mickey picks him up from school. 

One other thing I love about this fandom, is the support they give to each other. How they are always there for each other and how they are just a one huge family. Yea, Gallaghers are siblings, but V, Kev and Mickey are just as much as family as everyone else. And it shows.

Carl Gallagher needs definitive proof that his brother is in a relationship with the neighborhood thug, and boy does he get it.

I have not made my mind about Carl. Sometimes I like him, most of the time I just don't understand him and all the rest is just a big mess. But I like reading fics about these two from other people's perspective. Its fun, entertaining and brings something else to the fandom.

This time the +1 part is two stories. Or more like one story but its in two parts. Or more like, one story but two versions. Something like that.

Before I had even decided about making this blog post, I had decided this would be the +1 part. Because I really liked the Ian part of the story, I liked how he got hooked on Mickey and just went back. But then I read the Mickey version and I just coudn't get enough. I just wanted to read more and more and more. I am kind of disapointed that there isn't a third story, but I can live with only these two.

“Is this you just now realising it, or just you finally admitting it?” He asked and Merlin raised his head and glared at him. 

“Gaius, how am I meant to deal with this? I mean, they’ve already asked me so many questions! And today-! I accidentally revealed to Percy my magic!” Merlin complains.

It's been five years since Merlin became a dragonlord and now he's going through "dragonlord puberty." He grows wings, talons and fangs and gets Dragon-like behavior, such as collecting a hoard. 

Which would be all fine and dandy except that Merlin's inner dragon decided to hoard his friends and now Merlin has to hope none of them notice his strange behaviours.

This one was so much fun! The whole Merlin dragon hybrid, just so goood. 

This was just so Merlin kind of thing, with his friends being his hoard and all that. I couldn't even see that Merlin would hoard anything else. He is not really a that type that likes stuff or money or anything else. He just values his friends and all other human connections.

This thing Dean has going on with Crowley, it's really not a big deal. Yeah, he's hiding it from his friends and family, but he hardly has to tell them about everyone he ever sleeps with. After all, it’s only straightforward, morally dubious fun. It’s just sex. 

Which is why Crowley giving him the sweater comes as something of a surprise.

I wanted to read fics about Crowley. I have just lately really liked him in Supernatural. The problem is just finding the fics and then finding some good ones. But this is both of those things.

I would love to read more of this kind of relationship between these two. The whole idea of sugar daddy Crowley and sugar baby Dean is a little bit too good mix. Even when here it wasn't only that, but close enough.

There were parts I didn't like. However, there were more good things about this fic. The dynamics were all there, they stayed in character and all those randevouses were even better. Some of the things were just mentioned, but seriously, I would have loved to read all of those little things. 

I also liked how everyone kinda knew that the relationship wouldn't be for the rest of life. It had a place and time, and Dean acted upon it. Its just details that Crowley got too deep. But still. So, so, so good.

Harry Potter knows Malfoy is up to something. But he just can’t prove it, because the slippery smarmy Slytherin leaves no traces, and seems to take all of Harry’s interrogations as invitations to kiss. 

To be honest, I thought there would be computers involved or that this would be non-magical fic. Ou boy how wrong I was.

I fell in love with how everything was described here. How the wards worked (or nor worked), how everyone just believed that everything works fine because it has worked fine forever, how Draco was just kind of bored and so on. Also liked how Draco invented things to make his life easier and to have time to do other things. 

Harry on the other hand.. Yea. Nothing to say about him. I just liked Draco here. And Draco hitting Harry every change he got. 

Eagerly Eighteen [Teen Wolf, Chris/Peter/Stiles, nc-17]

Stiles' eighteenth birthday was coming up. He knew it was the expiration date for his relationship with Chris and Peter. It was hot because it was forbidden, something secret to spice up their relationship. The option to tell others was going to break the relationship, he just knew it. Especially with college looming on the horizon and the way Chris and Peter keep suggesting colleges far away from Beacon Hills. 

Chris and Peter can't wait for their boy to turn eighteen so they can be public about their relationship and they can't wait for college so they can all get out of this cursed town and start new, together. 

All three of them fail to consider that maybe they should talk to each other about these things instead of assuming that surely they know what is going on in the heads of the others. 

Talking is important. Talking is the only way to deal with misunderstandings. Talking is even more important when someone is dealing with trust issues. After that comes the part where you are suppose to make sure that everyone understands what they are really talking about.

So basically, this whole fic is all about miscommunication and everyone having feelings about it. Stiles is just depressed and ready to be forgotten. Peter and Chris are just happy and couldn't wait for what the future brings. Everyone else is there just for the ride.

And I have no idea how three people can be as stupid as two people. Yeah. Thats the whole fic. And you will love it.

Everyone in Harry’s life thinks he’s engaged to Malfoy. The solution to this is not pretending to date Malfoy, but here he is doing that anyway. 

Sleeping is for the weak, and I can read this instead of sleeping, right? 

But seriously, this was addicting in a really cute way. Like you (as does everyone else) know, they are in love with each other. These two idiots just can't admit that the other is in love with them. Yep. The usual plot how talking is overrated.

Still. This was cute, there were little details that made it more deep and more meaningful. This was just long enough to fit everything (and I still may have wanted more, as usual). And it all just made sense. Yep. No clue what else to say.

Every person was born with the name of their soulmate on their wrist. Stiles? He had two names and he couldn’t wait to meet them. Only that when he does, it’s not under the circumstances he ever pictured. And neither of his soulmates acknowledge their bond. 

What he doesn’t know is that at his birth, his grandfather wrote Claudia’s maiden name down on the birth certificate. Gajos. Neither Chris nor Peter carried the name ‘Stilinski’ on their wrists. 

Finally, a soulmate fic where there is a misunderstanding with the name! I really like the idea, that they do have the wrong name on their wrist, especially when it only matches the birth certificate. I even like how they tried to find their soulmate and how they ended up in the graveyard. 

But seriously. All that angst and all the feelings. Everything. But they still found each other and still got their happy ending. I would love to read more of these kinds of fics. It always seems that soulmate identifying is really easy and goes without trouble. The angst and other problems come with everything else. 

So yea. Totally worth it and a new take on the whole soulmate business!

Stiles meets a hot silver fox at a club and kisses him, just to also meet said silver fox’s gorgeous husband. To make things fair, he also kisses the husband. In the morning, he wakes up with a group chat with both of them, unsure how that had happened. 

I have read this more than once. Probably more times than I even want to admit. I have no clue what that says about me. But I don't care!

Stiles' logic is just perfect in here and how everything progresses from there. I kinda even like how Stiles is a little bit obvious whats going on. But he catches at some point! 

But this fic is full of sweetness, full on people protecting Stiles and being in his corner. Even when Stiles himself is a little bit insecure or something. No clue how to describe how Stiles is, but you will know what I mean. The main point was that people love Stiles, he is awesome and so on. He just doesn't always believe it because shitty people. Yea.
