"Tell me about Milkovich." 

The change in Gallagher's expression is immediate. His smile vanishes and his eyes go cold. Then he takes a deep breath, and laughs. "Oh, you want to know about Mickey."

In which Ian is a cold-blooded serial killer with a soft spot for a certain South Side asshole.

I almost didnt want to read this, just because the way this began. With these two, I can't really read fics where there is not a happy ending. I dont really care about happy endings in other fandoms. Just go and kill everyone, let half of them rot in prison or whatever. But these two. They need a happy ending in my head and I cant read anything if Im not 100% sure they get that. 

The way this started, with Ian in prison and full on meds. That didnt really give me that much of hope. But I psyched myself to read this. I really did. At some point I was just super ready for Ian to kill himself, just so he could be with Mickey in afterlife. All that, so they dont have to live without each other. 

But the fic itself. It was so good, so well written. And all that mental, pschycopat stuff was way better than I would have even thought about. I liked how Ian kind of made sense, while in sometimes he was just so lost and only trying to survive. And probably only because the way he had grown up and how his whole life had been crap. 

And then Mickey. No words for him. Just none.  

The one thing I want to add, is that, this is not pretty fic with everyone trying to be the best version of themselves or even them trying to get a better life. No. This is everything but that. This is the one where everyone dies, people are violent, bloodthirsty and get boners when they kill others. This is everything that is somehow fucked up in the world.
