Random Fandom Week 1 [One Direction, Larry]

I have rules in my head. Do not read fics about real people (yea, like I listen that one so much these days). Do not read anything too kinky (I actually listen this one most of the time because it destroys the whole thing in my head). Do not read Star Wars fanfiction (like never, ever kinda deal and I'm so sticking to this because Star Wars is holy and you do not sin it). And the rest of the rules are kinda minor but those are the lines I do not cross. But when I do, I decided that I need a tag for that and then I came up with Random Fandom Week where I use one week of my life just reading fics from one fandom. One fandom I have never read fics from before.

So. I have tried to read a couple One Direction fics before but not actually from the beginning to the end, more like "ou this sounds interesting and then it wasn't after all that good", so yea. And I have to admit (after spending this one week reading this stuff) that there isnt that many fics I like in this fandom. Probably most stuff that disturbs me in these fics are lack of knowledge in some things.

Like for example in one fic (can't remember the name, probably never even finished reading it) there was comment how one of the guys had played the Skyrim through. And lets just be clear about one thing, Skyrim is a never ending video game, you can't just play it through in four days or what the fuck ever, you just don't do that. And FYI there are video games besides FIFA, just ask google. And then there were some other stuff like that.

But if we ignore my nerd side and some other minor things that bugged me, the fics weren't all total shite (I kinda loved all the British words). So here goes the top 5 (+ 1) that I liked.

Please notice that I only spent one week reading One Direction fics so I didnt get that far with the paring/fandom and I kinda just took one of the most popular paring and went with the flow so yea. (some of these can also be one of the most popular fics there are but fuck it, I don't know anything about anything, so fuck it.)

Harry doesn’t think of himself as a womanizer, not at all. Sure, he enjoys sex, enjoys how women feel underneath him, and by some people’s standards he has sex with quite a lot of people, but that’s no reason to tell him that he can’t have a female PA anymore. 

It’s especially no excuse for giving him a male PA who’s possibly the most gorgeous boy in the world who won’t even let Harry look at him for too long. 

Sometimes Harry hates his life.

Oneshot and long as fuck. But one of the best fics I have read in a long time. This also felt so different than the others in this fandom so this really earns the first place in top five fics I have read in the 1D fic world. I probably should recommend this to you even if you are not that much into the fandom/paring/whatever. Yea. Maybe. But good none the less.

The One Direction PR management team decides that Harry needs to get married. Harry doesn't want to. Louis comes up with the perfect solution to the problem.

I have no idea about normal 1D Larry fics (seriously, I have only read like less than 20 of them so yea) but somehow there seems always in the end to be kids, like a lot of them. Maybe there is somewhere some kinda explanation but whatever. This just made me smile all the time and shit like that. (also there seems to be a lot fake boyfriend fics, what is up with that thing ?)

I don't know why I chose this to be one of the five fics even when this is good and I liked how everything was beautiful in a really painful way.

This was just so smooth and pirates makes everything just so much better. Okey. But seriously. This one was probably the first one where these two didn't end up happily together (there was hinting how they are gonna meet again and stuff but they didn't get together). And I wanted something different to my top 5 list anyways. He.

or, the one where Harry 'accidentally' takes Louis's phone home after a party and then there's sex.

And we need some porn to end this One Direction thing. Yup. I actually had one other fic in my mind for the porn part of the list but that thing was long (like 50 000 words or something) and I didn't have the energy to finnish reading it. I also don't think its fair to you to promote a fic that I haven't read through so yea. We are gonna take this one. And there is also a plot which is a huge bonus.

And then the +1 that is some kinda trend in fic world right now or something like that.

He had always been able to keep his feelings in check, to maintain their friendship, until Louis went off to University and started dating Liam. With the realization that he might actually lose Louis, Harry is forced to confront his feelings for his best friend.

Hmm.. We need one cliche, sad lovestory and shit. And this is that. Fills the part perfectly and yup. Thats it.

So yea. Now I have gotten this fandom out of my head and probably never gonna return (at least I don't see any reason to return) but feel free to leave to comments links to other good 1D fics. Yeaaa. You are welcome. Thanks.

Sterek fics [Teen Wolf, Derek/Stiles]

For awhile I have been thinking about blogging at least something about Teen Wolf fanfiction world but sadly I just dont like the show which makes the whole reading fics that much harder. In my life I have watched two episodes worth of Teen Wolf and I have read a total one fanfiction from that fandom (and that was crossover fic where the other fandom was Supernatural). So basically I have no idea about the whole thing.

But I found this awesome list about underrated Sterek fics. I have nothing to do with this list, all the credits go to SterekHobrienFic. They also have a lot of other lists about good fics in this paring. I totally recommend you to check the place out.

Heartlines [James Bond, Sherlock, James Bond/Q, Johnlock, crossover]

Q and Bond are soulmates. Naturally, it isn't as simple as it sounds.

I didn't really understood the beginning in this. I don't know why but it just kinda went over my understanding (someone can now try to explain it to me). And right now I don't even know why I kept reading this but have to say, totally worth it. No matter how confused I was but in the end I just fell in love with this. Seriously.

If I go even way back than this I don't even know why I opened this one (most Sherlock / James Bond crossover fics are just way overrated. There is like two or three or something that I like (love, whatever) and now this is one of those. Maybe it has something to do with how they are not forced to be in the same fic or shit like that, they are just growing and being and trying to survive. Maybe. Or maybe there is other reason. Dunno. But I liked this none the less.

And, if we can now start thinking about the fic itself, I could actually be pretty happy.

So the plot is all about how everyone borns with their soul mates name on their arm (or after their soul mate has born gets their name on their arm). There are cases when your soulmate has different name than yours, then there are cases when your soul mate belongs to different time and you wont have any name and then there are cases that you will never meet your soul mate. But there is still happiness and this is one of those good kinda soul mate fics.

Mycroft is one of those whose soul mate has different soul mate. Sherlock doesn't believe in love. Q has lost all hope of finding his soul mate after he had become Q. Bond is that kinda who believes there can be love and the love of your life doesn't have to be your soul mate. And this is how their lifes are one big world.

But the good parts of the fic áre the things how soul mate thing affects them and how there is this whole cultural thing around (how the world is different because of the soul mate thing). I also liked how different people reacted to soul mate and how it all was not as simple as "this is your chosen one and now you have to spent the rest of your life with them". Okey. That probably was the best part of the whole thing.

And okey. Maybe I also liked how Q was so in love with Bond and how Bond tried to have a relationship with Q. And maybe how everyone thought Mycroft and Q were married or something was also awesome. Mycroft and Sherlock's relationship was good, like really good. They were both faulty and shit but they kinda were there for each other and Mycroft was okey with Sherlock and John just made it all better and......... I have no idea how describle the whole thing. It was good and I liked it. Thats it probably.

Maybe thats all I want to say. How good this was to compared to other soul mate fics there are because this wans't perfect soul mate thing and people just made it all that much complicated and good and shit. Yea. So read and comment and leave kudos and make the author feel loved. Im off.

On the other hand, he is in hate with his new Quartermaster.
Interesting, that.

I spent over a day looking for this fic. Like fucking seriously. I don't know if that is actually that good but whatever. I liked this, I really did. There is also sequel or whatever to this but I didn't like that one so much. Not saying it's not good or anything, I just didn't like it. You can find it here: The Pattern of Drizzled Caramel on My Whipped Cream. I'm not gonna blog about that one cuz I have nothing to say about it. It is logical sequel if you want to read about one relationship and how it actually goes on.

But anyways. Back to the fic.

Bond hates his quartermaster but likes Aaron. They have a different relationship where they get to know each other slowly and bit by bit. This is actually a really slow building oneshot. Where it seems to take forever until they are fucking or moving together. But when they actually go further in their relationship you are waiting it to happen and it just makes everything so much better.

Of course they have secrets from each other and some other stuff bothering them but whatever. They are just humas and humans are not perfect (without even talking about their jobs). And I love the ending. Seriously. It is one of the main reasons why I pretty much spent the whole day looking for this while suffering from hungover.

Well fuck it. You should read this just because of the ending. Its awesome. And its great and beautiful and the reason why this whole thing is pure gold. And when you have read the whole thing, comment, leave kudos and make the author feel loved. Yup. I should probably tell you to read the sequel... Well. Read it too. Its not good and you will probably love it anyways.

Everyone tells Tony he shouldn't be sleeping with one of S.H.I.E.L.D's most-wanted criminals. Tony's never been great at doing what he's told. Sometimes, though, you should take someone's advice - especially when it's your life on the life.

Um. Yea. Oneshot, an awesome one and I have read this about thousand times already. And....
Okey. So. Loki is fucking amazing, Tony is fucking amazing and Fury is just so furious about everything.

And I think I mostly liked about how everyone was not okey with Loki and Tony's relationship. They hate it and they think its wrong and so on. But they understand that there is nothing they can do to make them stop. But Fury tries none the less.

Then there is this whole thing about what happens if you touch Loki's things. And maybe after that some people aren't so much againts the whole relationship. Maybe.

And maybe I just loved this and now I wanna continue to watch Borgias (and my otp fovere is Cesare/Lucrezia, no matter what you say). So go and read and comment and leave kudos.
