Random Fandom Week 3 [Suits, Harvey Specter/Mike Ross]

So. Basically I have read one fiction out of this paring before. Like literally one and I dont even remember what that fic was about. All I remember from that fic is how Harvey was a really huge role model to Mike and then things got out of control. Yea. And that is awesome point to start reading fics from Suits. Even when I actually like the whole Harvey/Donna thing.

But I literally saw the first episode by accident. Im not even kidding. We have netflix app in our tv and its slow as fuck and I was too fast for it and instead of clicking Modern Family I clicked this one and the rest, as they say, is history. The good part of the story is how I really, really fell in love. Like really. Maybe after Teen Wolf (Mike kinda reminds me of Stiles) and Tru Blood (dont ask) I wanted to watch something I really liked for a change. So here we are.

The thing goes the same as before. I dont know anything about the fandom. I dont know which ones are the most popular fics or what is the proper way to enter this fandom. Im just picking one paring and reading fics that I find interesting.

So here goes 5 fics from Suist and the +1 is this time Harvey/Donna just because I love Donna. Seriously. She is the best (Rachel is kinda boring and Louis is just creep (just looking his smiley face creeps the fuck outta me).

More AU stuff. I liked this and how people were logical about the crap where they had ended up. Harvey just was a little bit OOC. He was weird for being Harvey. Cant say I didnt like this. I liked. Harvey just disturbed me a little.

It was actually fucking hard to find anything really well written in this fandom. But if there is not even 2000 fics written about the paring I cant expect much. But this one. This is probably the best out of the five.

The artsy part. There is a plot. There is a lot of things but I dont actually know what to say about most of them. Because its so artistic and free and things can mean so many different things. And it was pretty awesome to be able to read something like this.

It started with a 'thing'. Harvey needs a new place, Mike wants one at half price, and Donna tries to help. With Mike's improving people-reading skills and Donna's penchant for involving herself in everything Harvey related, the thingtransforms to more things; and whether romantic, platonic, or just plain confusing, Mike realizes this must be the craziest relationship he's ever (unintentionally) been in. And surprisingly, he's okay with that.

Mike couldn’t stop the huge grin forming on his face even if he tried. Because really, who wouldn’t be elated to find himself now openly welcomed in this exclusive club for two, united by the sole force that is love for the man named Harvey Specter. Some would probably call it a ‘Family’, but Mike decides ‘Harvey Club’ has a better ring to it.

Maybe this one is not excatly fic full of making out and sex. This is more like a fic where shit happens for a reason and people are amazing and full on secrets. Yea. But I really liked the style, how this was written. Thw plot was weird and I know that not everyone loves this type fics but I do so here it goes.

And then the +1 fic, also known as Harvey/Donna fic.

So in a sense, they are neither of them in love, and yet, completely unintentionally, they are also the very definition.

To be honest I thought all the fics would be more like this. Something incoherrent and vague but still having a real, solid plot with weird humor and other weird stuff. And thats why its good to end this journey to this one. And all I really want to tell you is that get a beta reader. In the last forever I havent read this many grammar mistakes or other small typing errors. (that was also one of mu reasons for picking these six fics, they didnt have any typing typos or plain ignorance of reading your own fic after writing it).

“Good evening, Sheriff.” Scott greeted, with an uncomfortable and forced smile. 

“Good evening, Scott.” Sheriff Stilinski returned patiently, playing along. “Anything I can help you with?” He didn’t look like he actually wanted an answer, which was fair because they rarely saw him when someone wasn’t on the verge of being arrested or dead. 

“This is probably going to sound really weird, but I promise I’m being completely serious.” The Sheriff nodded for him to continue, almost looking pained. “Do you have a son, by any chance?” 

“Excuse me?”

First I thought that Sheriff was going to open the door and Stiles would be there. The main problem could be that they dont remember but Stiles does and there would be pining and tears and stuff. Or that no one remembers that they are connected to each other. But that Stiles would be there and so on. But it didnt go that way. Nope.

And there wasnt pining or tears. There was just a lot of questionmarks and questions and people wondering what the fuck is going on. And maybe the ending was a little bit too easy. Maybe. But it really worked and was good and actually made a lot of sense. So yea.

The stuff I liked about this ? I liked how I didnt know what to expect and if I expected something it didnt happen that way. It just went the way it wanted and kept you on your toes. (and long as fuck for oneshot). But still totally worth of your time.

Indulgent domesticity. No real plot to speak of, just Bond and Q moving in together as friends after Q is targeted and his place burnt down, and slowly progressing to being a couple.

It is actually pretry weird that there arent more fics about trust issues in James Bond fandom. Or more like some really deep trust issues like in this one. They dont trust anyone. Not even each other that well. But they know how to benefit from each other and that helps with the trust thing.

But this is really beautiful about how Q needs to built his life again and how Bond does the same and somehow it ends up being their life together. Maybe it all starts with it all being just practical and smart choice but in the end its much more than just that.

And I dont know what else to say. Because that is all there is and it may be slow but this is really a good kind of slow. So Read, Comment, Leave Kudos and make the writer feel loved. Thank you.

Brothers in Arms [James Bond, Sherlock, James Bond/Q, crossover]

James Moriarty has an agreement with his younger brother, to never let their work get personal. That doesn’t mean they’ll stop interfering in each other’s lives. 

In which Q is Moriarty’s brother, and they may or may not spend all of their free time (and respective organization’s discretionary budget) pranking each other.

It feels like always when there is Sherlock Bond crossover that Q is somehow related to the Holmes (either he is the third brother or he is Shelock and John's kid, couple times he was Mycroft's kid) but not in this one. And that is the only reason why I want to blog about this one.

So basically Q is Moriarty's little brother and their parents died when Q was young and Moriarty partly raised Q. But their relationship isnt that easy. There are up and downs and part of the time it feels like they dont tolerate each other. But then the rest of the time it just feels two brothers who arent really close but still somehow close. Yea. Kinda weird but its still good.

And then in the middle of that there is Reichenbah and Skyfall mixed together and seen from Q's point of view. And somehow there is also a lot of pranking and Q and Bond getting together and death. Yea. Everything nicely put together in 13 chaptee story. Yea.

I dont know what else I want to mention about this. Maybe partly that everything was thought through and made sense even when sometimes it felt like that cant be possible.

The guy spat and turned the faucet on. "Take the money. You said you lived in Queens last night? Who the hell lives in Queens." 

The fifty seemed gritty in his fingers, but he put it in the back pocket of his ridiculously tight jeans, anyway. That was, like, a five-hour shift at the coffee shop where he worked, Common Grounds, with tips. "And don't call me 'dude,'" the guy continued, turning off the faucet. "I'm not your college bro. It's Derek."

Umm. I have had this fic on my phone like forever so I could blog about this. But now that I have time and inspiration to blog about this I dont even remember what I was suppose to say. There probably was something important and smart and good on my list but seriously. its been over month when I read this, I cant possibly remember everything.

So. Lets end the bullshit and just say that this is good and worth of your time even when I dont even actually remember why is that.

(The story goes pretty much along the lines of hooking up in a bar and thinking about never seeing again but then there is coffee shop and how the world is just so small, so yea).

It's been over a year since Louis broke up with Harry and Harry still believes in forever. And maybe the world does, too.

I... I wanted to say how this is how i feel and how my life feels. I havent found the love of my life or shit like that. But it feels like drowning and dark and lonely and I want nothing which is the worst.

So this fic really touched some really deep part of me and Im just crying. Yea. No idea what else to say. Even when this is long as fuck and there are millions of things I probably should mention and praise and give you reasons.

But I kinda got this feeling that sometimes that is just enough. Telling you how I feel about a fic and then hoping you will read it because of it. Yea.
