Of Sentinels and Anchors [Star Trek, Spock/Kirk, NC-17]

Written for the Star Trek XI Kink Meme prompt: "AU: Spock was raised on Earth with no Vulcan influence in his life."

First I did not like Spock. I did not dislike him per se. He just wasn't my favorite like Khan was or Kirk. But I also did not like the whole Kirk/Spock pairing. I liked to read everything that had Kirk in it but if you put him and Spock together I just did not understand it. 

But somehow, right now, after couple of fics I started to really like Spock and the Spock/Kirk pairing. It just came out of nowhere and Im stuck with it. Thats it. Cant explain why or how or what. But maybe some things dont need explaining. 

But this fic need some explaining. Because first of all Spock. He is just so many things at the same time. Half Vulcan, half human. There are layers and then there are more layers. And this fic is all about those layers and what would happened if by some misfortune Spock had grown up without Vulcan influense. 

Somehow it all sounds pretty extreme, like no way it could have been that hard, but how would we actually know what it would be like? Like everything could be true and Spock's life could suck and the whole telepathy thing could be something super bad for him without any role models or teachers. 

And after all that this whole fic just made me like, love Spock just a little bit more. There just aren't so many fics about stuff like this and how Spock's life could be different and how it could be different. Its always Kirk who is sent to some foreing planet or to Vulcan to grow up there. Spock has been the only thing that has stayed the same. 

So basically Im probably saying that I want more Spock and more about Spock's life where are big debates about his heritage and how that heritage actually affects his life in every day basic. Yea. That is pretty much what I am saying.
