Alternate canon telling of Magnus and Alec's story. Set in the TV 'verse but without any of the main story of the books or TV show. There is no Valentine Circle Uprising Thing going on. It's pretty much just an alternative version of how Alec and Magnus and their child(ren) become the Lightwood-Bane family.First of all, I really liked the idea of Alec saving a warlock kid and raising him. Just perfect. I even liked it when it was super hard for him to raise the kid alone and needed a warlock's help with the kid's magic. I also super liked how these two got together from there. I just loved it. The idea is just so wonderful.
The rest of this stuff? It's still awesome. How deep the writer went with everything and how they just understood stuff. There is just much time and effort that has been put into this series that you can't but praise it for everything. Seriously.
There is deep in the characters (even the kids, no, especially the kids). There is reasoning with stuff and some things keep going through the fics. Like the whole if they are gonna raise Rafael as shadowhunter or not and how they are gonna tell Max he is immortal. Those come up in one fic then in the next or maybe the one after that stuff happens and it comes up again and then in some fic they do something about it. Yea. The whole plot goes there with the series even when these are just oneshots from the bigger story.
