Random Fandom Week 2 [Teen Wolf, Sterek]

Um. Yea. I still don't like Teen Wolf that much but I wanted to read these fics. Like really try out these fics and shit. So yea. Here I am again. This week is deligated to Sterek paring. And thats it.

But maybe firstly I want to comment about why the fuck people keep writing fics about fake relationships. Like fucking seriously. There were tons of those in 1D fandom and now the same in Teen Wolf. And before these two I have like read zero fics based on fake relationships. Fucking seriously.

Is this some kinda trend or something? Please explain this to me. I would love to understand the thing about fake relationships and why it is so awesome plan to fake being together for family or for public image or for some alpha wolf conference. Yea. Please do that.

But back to the point. 5 +1 good fics from Teen Wolf fandom. And still goes the thing where I say I have no idea if these fics are the most popular ones or shit like that. I haven't read this fandom before (if you don't count two or three random oneshots) and I dont even know who the fuck half of the characters are (just watched the first eight episodes of the show altogether). So yea. 5 +1 fics. Thats it.

“Three weeks,” Derek says. 

“Still don’t want to,” Stiles says. 

“I’ll pay you,” Derek says, and that… that has Stiles interested. Alf’s Antique’s may be a great job, but it’s not a high-paying job, and half of Stiles’s tuition is coming from financial aid, so… 

“How much,” Stiles asks, “are we talking here? Because I know your family, dude. And it’ll be kind of awkward after.“ 

“My family thinks you’re some sort of fucking gift to the world,” Derek seethes, like he’s jealous, “they’ll probably be pissed at me when we break it off, so don’t worry about that. Five hundred bucks.” 

“A thousand,” Stiles says, because screw ethics. Also, the Hale family is loaded. Derek can deal.

The first fake boyfriend kinda fic. Yea... There is also magic and magic is always wicked cool. Like seriously. Especially floating objects and furniture and people. Just cool. So enough reasons to count this as one good fic.

Electricity In the Contact by ladyblahblah

In which Derek has been invited to the Greater Pacific Northwest Alpha Symposium (that's not what it's called, Stiles, stop saying that), and showing up unattached would mean an arranged marriage. When the rest of the pack objects, he agrees to let Stiles come along to pose as his mate. Derek is reasonably sure that he's not going to make it out of this weekend alive.

At this point the whole smell thing is getting kinda boring because fucking seriously. I have no words for that but it seems people just need to make Derek smell like Stiles and vice versa. Seriously. Wolf things are weird. Seriously. And their noses. Maybe I have to watch more Teen Wolf to understand this. But I really liked Stiles and his way too sarcastic personality. Stiles is probably my favorite at this point.

A Strong Heart and a Nerve of Steel by lupinus & uraneia

Stiles and Derek wake up married in Vegas. Well, they would have if it was legal. 

In which Stiles is the president's son, Derek is his bodyguard, and Papa President orders them to pretend to be in love for the sake of gay rights. 

Or in which uraniea and lupinus combine meeting the Hales, President Papa, waking up married, fake/pretend relationship, First Boy Stiles, and bodyguard Derek into one fic.

The lying thing? What. Seriously. Again the whole thing where I need to watch more of Teen Wolf. Or maybe I could just read the wikipedia page and be happy about it. Would that be enough? (or maybe read tons of fics and get some kinda shitty big picture out of this.) But I really liked the idea of Stiles' father being the president and how Stiles' life sucks because of that. I really liked that.

My Heart Comes Tumbling Down by DevilDoll

"This is a casual, adult relationship based on sex, and it is awesome." In which Stiles and Derek have a great time buddyfucking until a burrito ruins it all.

Being a responsible, good adult person who can actually take care of.. themselves is actually pretty overrated. Yea. Whatever this fic is actually about the one important part is being an actual responsible adult that is just not true and no one is that and yea. Bullshit your way through life. Like Stiles. Yup.

5 Times Stiles & Derek's Classmates Noticed They Were in a Committed Relationship and 1 Time Stiles Noticed by Survivah

In which Derek and Stiles are college roommates, and everyone saw this coming before they did. 

“How do you even get up there?” Scott asks skeptically. Loft beds are tricky enough on their own, he doesn’t know what possessed Derek and Stiles to push theirs together. Why would anybody try to create a king-sized loft bed in a teensy tiny dorm room?

Yeah. Like I could avoid posting something that has 5 + 1 in my whole list thing. Seriously. But the point was that I dont even know and that got to be good enough for you. So whatever. Its good and thats it.

The One with the Napping by Captain_Loki

It is a unique and somewhat unhelpful talent, but Stiles can fall asleep anywhere.

And for the +1 part of this list we need something cute and weird and different. Yup. So napping it is.

And probably this is the point where I admit that I got addicted to Sterek and Teen Wolf fictions (even if its pain in the fucking arse to find something gooood in there).

First I wanted to talk about how I cant actually find any fics where there is actual hunting. I dont know why I thought that but its pretty true if you think about it. Which was why this made me so happy. 

But besides that I dont know. This is cliche "we dont wanna talk about it" fic where they are together but dont talk about it. How people still come up with these plots is besides me. Even more out of my understanding is how these are good and I can actually read these without getting bored. 

But yea. Hunting and making out and not talking. Yup. The whole fic. Read, comment and leave kudos.

Sad sad sad story that tries to be funny or is sometimes funny in a really sad way. Or something. I dont know. I tried to read fanfiction in wattpad but all the fics sucked and I literally couldnt finnish even one fic (well I couldnt read through the first chapter cuz they sucked so much). And then I came across this. And it all just made me so sad and frustated.

All the fics I tried to read over there were the most popular and all got read count somewhere along million but the writers couldnt understand the differences between their and they're. And then I try to find something not so appriciated fics in ao3 and they are just so good and perfect and I cant stop reading.

Well okey. This one has almost got 500 kudos so maybe this is not one of the really not that underrated fics but still pretty close. So maybe what I want to say is that could you guys stop reading crap and support the crap just because some stupid excuse and give the really good fiction a chance? Because I try to do that. I really do nowdays.

All the fics dont get this far and dont get a mention in my blog or something but I try to leave comments and kudos most of the time when I find something good and I have something to say.

But maybe Im suppose to tell you something about this fic also. Basically One Direction is taking a break from music and Zayn is trying out for solo career, Liam is making documents, Harry is acting, Louis is doing whatever he is doing and Niall is lost. The whole thing is basically Niall trying to find himself and trying to survive without the boys.

There is gardening, partying, asking the big questions of life and all. But I really liked how once again Niall was a real character, not just that easy going guy who laughs and eats and is always happy. I liked this Niall much much better. He was deep and maybe lost but he still got all those qualities. He had layers and stuff. He was a real human being.

And now I kinda want to read more fics about Niall and how he is a real human, not just this funny, easygoing guy who makes everyone happy. Yea. So. Read, comment, leave kudos and start supporting the really good fics and try to find those really goood fics, not just those that seems to be good, they have to be good in your eyes too and make you want to cry and laugh and smile and feel something. Yea. Those kinda stories.
