Castiel, an outcast fairy, has lived most of his life in the guise of a human in a sleepy Northwestern town in the state of Oregon. It's quiet. People move there to retire and forget the world. And it's small so newcomers are a thing of note. So when a man not near retirement age moves in, green-eyed and handsome, Castiel pays attention. But his cabin is set up in the midst of the woods the locals avoid. Where the entrance to his people's lands rests. The thickset trees are teeming with the supernatural. So how is it this man hasn't run screaming from the woods? And why does his home feel so strange to Castiel's fairy senses?I really like the idea that somewhere out there is a town where all the peaceful supernatural beings can go and just live their life. I really like that. Its so peaceful and gives a lot of hope.
But, more importantly, does he even care for those answers when the man grins so warmly?
I also liked Castiel as a fairy. He was kinda super cute but at the same time he had this... not childless but something along the lines charm that was just awesome. Dean on the other hand.. I would love to read the whole fic from Deans' point of view. Like how dark he really is and how much he is actually hurting.
At some point I also missed Sam and how Sam would have come there and pulled Dean out of his misery by saying and doing something amazing. But this was still pretty awesome without Sam in it. All that cuteness and fairy Cas. You gotta enjoy fairy Cas, seriously. The dude is perfect as a fairy.
