So anyways. A little different, not real plot and shit ton of angst. Yup. All you need to lift your spirit and all that shite. You are welcome.

I kinda accidentally downloaded Death Note anime to my laptop again. Literally by accident, I thought it was gonna be the "new" Death Note movie (which I still haven't seen cuz haven't found it yet with English subtitles). But I got this huge want to read Mello/Matt fics again after so long time.

And this? This was the best I have found so far (besides all those fic I have read before). This was just good. The different starting with comparing Mello and Matt to each other and seeing Matt from Mellos perspective. I kinda got little weirded out because I thought that is this gonna be the whole but thank god it only got better after that.

The whole escaping thing and how the story was just a small part of the world. The story did not try to paint the whole picture of their lives or anything like that. It just showed you a super shitty and weird day from their lives. That's it. Nothing else.

Maybe there were some revelations and their relationship changed in that day but that just made the worth of mentioning. Yup. So yea. Totally worth. Seriously. The whole Death Note manga and anime and movies are so worth it. I don't know about that Netflix series yet but we will see when the thing comes out. So in the meanwhile, the old fics are just perfect.

Out of everything in this situation, it was the silence that bothered him the most. Not a station on the radio, not even an emergency broadcast. No blood. No bodies. No nothing. It was as though everyone had simply... vanished.

A zombi fic that is actually good. Seriously. Whats there gonna be next ? I hope people just keep creating amazing fics such as this.

So basically one morning Matt wakes up and its pure silence everywhere and there are no humans anywhere either so he packs some stuff and goes to explore the dead world. Yea. Then he meets people, Mello and others, then there are zombies and other people and some crazines. 

But really. Even if this is mostly Matt and Mello trying to figure out whats happening and what to do next this is good. They mock zombie movies/tv-series/etc and it just doesnt feel stupid like most zombie stuff do. Okey. The whole "everyone has vanished over one night" thing sounds kinda unbeliveable but other than that. 

Maybe the only thing I didn't like was the time. At some point there was gone a year or something (if I remember correctly) but nothing mayor had happened to them over that time, it just felt like no time has passed even when a lot of time had passed. 

But you can ingore that part, at least I did. I just enjoyed the smart parts where they understood that cigarets smoke interviewed with zombies ability to smell and how they could detect who had gotten the infect and who didn't. I even liked the way too cliche ending. Yup.

So even if zombies aren't that much your thing I still recommend this. Because this doesn't even feel that much like horror fic, more like just a different (and more deathly) adventure fic. Read, comment and leave kudos. Thanks.

Matt isn't a very social person, so why then is he staying out all night and making mysterious phone calls? Even stranger, why is he so determined to lie to Mello about it? Mello decides to get to the bottom of it, and discovers something unexpected...

There is this one thing about Death Note fics that I really, really like and its maybe the only why I even read these fics, because you just have to admit that there arent that many unique fics. But the thing. The storytelling style. And right now you would be saying how its not any unique either when its almost in every Death Note fic but I dont seriously care when its so perfect. There is this little bad ass thing going on there on the back ground and how the characters are bad ass kinda characters. That goes well with Mello and Matt at least. Mello being in mafia and all that. Matt on the other hand.. There couldnt be any other way for him to survive his life with Mello if he wasnt at least a little bit bad ass.

So after the awesome story telling there is left on this story only how Mello is in love with Matt and how Matt finds a girlfriend. Yup. So the story is all about how Mello tries to find Matt's secret and how that secret will change their whole relationship. Its also really important how Mello moves his ass to couch and lets Matt to sleep on the only bed in the apartment.

Besides the girlfriend part this whole fic is pretty much all cliche Mello/Matt fic. They have a crappy apartment and the AC is broken. Mello is nousy bastard and wants all Matt's attention for himself. Matt is also this easy going guy who just doesnt give much crap about anything but the same time cares about Mello a lot and tries to be as nice as possibly.

And what else?

Maybe nothing. Because seriously. This is just so cliche but also so awesome fic that I loved while reading. Yup. Thats pretty much all.

There are lots of other parings too (L/Light, Light/Misa, Matt/Wedy, Near/Linda and so on) but they arent on spot light, more like they are just happening there somewhere... So yea. Its still full Mello/Matt fic.

Jeb. So the plot. Matt is in love with Mello and Mello is in love with Matt. The whole fic is all about how the other doesnt know about the others feelings and how they hurt each other because of it and how messed up their life really is around that fact. Yeb.

Okey. So. This was different. I dont know if I can say different like normally fics are different more like this is different in Mello/Matt fic world. I havent really read that many fics with them both in love with each other and the other more or less in oblivion about his feelings. But if you forget the Mello/Matt world thing there I would say this is pretty much the most cliche fic in the whole world.

The writing on the other hand was good, like really good. I just couldnt stop reading this. The whole fic disturbed my whole day because I just wanted to read it to the end and forget all the other shit. Ha.

But on the other hand there was nothing new. All the new was how it all went to Mello/Matt paring world and thats. So if you wanna read some cliche and Mello/Matt and you dont wanna suffer from shitty writing this is totally worth for your time. But if you just cant stand the cliches anymore this may not be a fic for your taste. Yeaa.

And I should probably soon stop blogging only about Mello/Matt fics and write about somethin else... But we will see. Ha.

This one is fucking awesome. Thats it. The whole awesomeness starts with how this all could be from Death Note, just outside from the actual happenings. After that you get to the part how the whole writing style is all about cynical and pessimistic thinking. It is just perfect.

The plot in itself isnt so original. Its starts with Matt going to orphanage and sharing a room with Mello and how they become best friends. Then Mello leaves and Matt is all alone again. Near gets Matt to come with him and that way to find Mello. They meet again, kiss, make up and together they hunt Kira. Yep. Nothing new about that.

The whole reason why this is awesome is how Matt thinks. To be more accurate, its more like how Matt sees the world through his goggles (everything has a little more gold in them). Somehow all that makes it just feel like there is no purpose behind anything and things just happen without reason. All that is just so simple and nothing special, so you cant stop reading. Like fucking seriously.

Okey. I havent even read this through yet (3 or less chapters left) but I just couldnt wait. Just no way. This is just.. Perfect. Thats it. Ha. Okey, I have to admit. Maybe one reason why I like this so much is because Matt kinda thinks the same way like I do. Sometimes I even get this feeling that if I knew how to write, like I really knew how to write, I would totally write shit like this. Just because at the same time shit matters but the same time its shit and doesnt really matter at all.

Maybe you have lost there somewhere but I dont give a shit. This one is perfect, awesome, whatever. I would even go so far and say that this is one of those reasons why I take so much crap while reading bad fiction, because in the end there are pearls like this one. Maybe it takes forever to find them but when you find them and read them you just cant not to fall in love. Like seriously.

So go and read this, please. I dont give a crap if you dont know a thing about Death Note. Just read. And if you didnt find any reason in my explanation to read this I kinda quoted a part from the fic (all the credits goes to the writer, cant froget that) to here. I know its long and its not so nice to quote peoples fics but I just had to. This is just perfect.

People get married because they need financial security, they want children, (because society expects you to go forth and reproduce or else you're a failure,) or they're just afraid of being lonely. 

You'll always be looking out for number one, just like everyone else; because that's the kind of world we live in. Those few, few cases where someone genuinely cares…those are the people that get trampled on. Those are the people who look up at the sky and wonder why it's raining, why it's bittersweet; those are the people who smile back at the woman in the grocery store. Not because they feel obligated by common courtesy, but because they're too naïve to realize that the world's not really golden. As soon as someone rips that from their eyes, and the world shows its true colors, do they realize how empty that gold was—just a tint, an overlay, a shield from reality. 

People go to the doctor because they're so sad that they're sick. Antidepressants make the world a little brighter—but what about the people who believe that the world really is good? What about the people who are happy? No one prescribes them pills to knock them back to reality. No, because those are the people that the rest of us feed off of. Their hope, however lame and fake, gives us a little. Just a little. Something to believe in, grasp to. Because that's what we do—grasp for comforts that will never be real, never be there. 

Reality hurts—it's not very easy to get used to something like that.

Matt, a genius hacker and spy, is sent undercover at Wammys for the sole purpose of discovering the secrets of the mysterious letter known only as L. The only problem... he didn't plan on falling in love with his roommate. Some yaoi, Character death.

Its been almost two years since I read this. But seriously. I cant not to read this again. There are just so many little things. All those explanations and all the things Matt sees and how it all just builds a bigger scene and gosh.

The plot, on the other hand, is kinda simple. Matt has to find out as much as he can about L and he really tries to do it. He gets in, blends in, "makes friends" and is just like any other genius teenager in that school. And then Mello comes. It just so fun to read how their relationships is build on pranks and fights and all that but in the end they cant almost live without each other. It is just so perfect. Okey, perfect until the end where there is the death thing Im not gonna talk about because I just cant.

Dont be afraid now. Its nothing scary or anything, the ending is just so sad and life changing. Even when you would love to change it to something else you cant really imagine any other ending, at least I cant and I hate the eding. I really, really do.

Okey. Enough about death lets just concentrate to the fic and all those small details. First of all there are lots of game details (you can start with mentioning of Sephiroth and that way Final Fantasy) and how it all just cliks and makes you wonder if the writer is a game geek. Like seriously. After that there is how Matt is always so lazy. He does things and he attends, but not much, but in the end there is almost in every scene something that reminds how lazy Matt is and how he just doesnt wanna do things cuz its almost too troublesome (to quote Naruto).

Then we can move to all those things that other notice and how Matt knows that everybody notices. Well thinking about it like right now it all just feels maybe a little bit too much but while reading it just feels natural with them being genius and all that crap. So while it is too much it isnt. Srange. But I totally like it.

And we cant forget Mello. Our little, weird, short tempered and chocolate addicted Mello. Yeaa. Most of all I like how Mello is around Near and how it is almost natural with all the hate and dislike between those two with ofc Near being kinda outsider. I cant explain it, it just feels good and looks good and ou god how well written it is. Mello's character is well written with all that concentrating and not eating and all other bad habits. He just is the Mello we know from the Death Note. Yep.

But the writing style in this one. Its so awesome when its not quite from Matt's perspective but at the same time it is. Its not "I did this and I can do that" its only Matts thoughts and how it all is still "he did this and he can do that" but still in your head it feels like Matt is actually talking or we are hearing his thoughts. The whole thing is plain genius, good, awesome and so on.

Thinking about the whole fic now I can only say one thing I dont like and its the ending. Its that the whole death thing and how sad it is. I would loved a happy ending to this but like always in life you cant always get what you want. So we get the almost perfect fic without happy, nice, lovely ending. Okey. The ending is kinda lovely but its all sad lovely. So yea. Go and fucking read this. If this isnt worth for your time then nothing is. Thats it.

This is one of those "get these two together and notice how they have hanged out in same groups without knowing" -kinda thing. Yeaa.

Maybe the idea isnt so good or the writing isnt perfect either. But Mello is kinda cute and Matt is kinda cute and then they figure out how everyone is trying to get them together. And in the end they start dating. Yep.

Thats the whole fic, well oneshot but still whole fic.There were couple things that werent so good. Like how their behavior changed and how they were like two different persons sometimes.. You can kinda explain it with how people react differently to different things and how everything isnt the same in different situations. But to me the change was just too much. Yea.

On the other hand this was all cute and tried to be light fic which this totally is. So if you wanna just read something light, not so humorous fic this is totally worth it. Yeaa. And this is like the shortest post ever but I just dont know what else to say bout this one. So comment after you have read this, please.

The Flaw [Death Note, Mello/Matt, m-preg, NC-17]

There was a belief that there were no consequences of using a Death Note other than the nothingness of Mu. But not even the shinigami could have predicted the true nature of the note; it creates a flaw into each who touches it. –MM. M for later on.

First I didnt even like this fic, okey I'm not sure if I even liked this in the end or in the middle of the fic.. I dont know. There was just too much things that was off somehow. I dont know why I read this whole thing so maybe there was something good (including the writer and the writing style). Dont know.

But in the story L needs Mello, Near and Matt's help to solve the Kira case. Before they begin L doesnt really tell them everything well he tells them almost nothing. One of those things is that Death Note is little bit different and it has an affect to human mind or body (or both). And because of that Mello gets pregnant with Matt's kid and he and Matt are forced to runaway. And thats when the really weird stuff begins.

The most weird thing in this one is L. Normally L is this good guy and all but in this one Death Note has affected his thoughts and he doesnt like sugar things anymore. Somehow L has also started killing people without any real good reason. At some point even Near starts chancing. He starts to show feelings and other shit. Mello is the only one who only gets the something other than mental stuff.

Well. Okey. I liked the idea that Death Note has some kinda effect to normal people. It sounds logical and it kinda sounds stupid that shinigami just brings a book to the human world and has nothing other effect than the killing and that the killer cant get neither to heaven or hell. I really liked how it affected to Light and how he became mentally unstable. Yea. But I didnt like how it changed L's whole personality (didnt like sugar stuff anymore and started to kill people). It just felt way too weird to change the whole character. And then the same with Near.

Then there was Mello and Matt's relationship and they having sex and all that stuff. First I liked this too. They drunk and Matt doesnt know what to think and Mello in love. But then came Matt's past and how it affected to something but not most of the things. Well, it affected only to a one thing so it kinda sucked to me.

And then the ending..... I hated it. Literally. I get it how it fit to the story but it was just so boring to a Death Note fic and way too simple. They didnt do anything and somehow everything is normal and they arent in danger anymore. It was just was way too simple and happened way too fast.

I wasnt suppose just to diss the whole fic but those are just the things I wanted to say about this fic. If you now are thinking that this fic is total crap please just read the sentenced "I read the whole fic" and just think that there has to be something good in this one if I really bothered to read the whole thing.

And I have to also add that ShinigamiMailJeevas is a good author and what I have read from them has been good and I have fallen in love so its just this one fic from them that I dont like. Yea. You can make your own opinion, this one is just mine.

Matt is finally back with Mello but he's ignoring him. However, it seems that Mello's childhood experiment, based off Pavlov's dogs, can get Matt's attention directed at him with a mere whistle. MXM AND ALL COMPLETELY SMEXY LEMON!

I have this feeling that this fic can never get old. Really. This has been awesome everytime I have read this and I think this is gonna stay awesome forever. Yea.

And there isnt an actual plot but this isnt a PWP fic either because this isnt just sex. But Mello tries his own examine to Matt. He started it before he left the Wammy's and he continues where he left when he and Matt reunite. The whole thing is Mello giving Matt a hard on only with a whistle. Yea. And its working in this one. I'm not kidding.

This is awesome cuz... Well you have to read to find out why, no way in hell I'm gonna tell you why. I like this a lot and I have read this way too many times and I'm still gonna read this again and again and if there is one reason why to read this is that I love this and I have read this more than twice because I just don't do that so often.

What else? Ou. The boys arent really ooc or anything. They are good written and everything works. So yea. Ou god. This was useless update but right now I don't give a shit. Read this and be happy that you read this. Yea. Thats it.

No Hablo Espinacas [Death Note, Mello/Matt, NC-17]

Matt wasn't entirely sure how he and Mello ended up stripping, getting deported to Mexico, and landing themselves in Mexican prison, but he was pretty sure that it still counted as FINALLY getting Mello to take him on an actual date. MxM oneshot.

First of all this fic is something I have read way too many times. Like really. And the bad thing about that is that I don't even like the whole fic. I don't like the humor and I don't like the scenes. The only thing I like is Near in the end. He is so lovely, ha.

But yea. So. These two goes to date for the first time and they want to do it really classy way. But then somehow they are forced to be strippers in that restaurant. And then ofc cops hit there and arrest every illegel employee there and you can guess what happens to Mello and Matt. And then just happens more stupid stuff. Yea.

But the thing why I don't like this is because the humor is so forced. I think this would be awesome if the story would have been told seriously and not comic way. At least then I would liked the humor and maybe even laughed.

Still I liked Near and his comment in the end. It was so good that someone said something to Mello and didn't do like he told to do. It was awesome. I have to take a quete from it.

You gave my dominos to the dog I talked Mr. Wammy into giving me. You got this dog so drunk that it threw up on my carpet. You told Mr. Wammy that the dog kept throwing up everywhere and he took it away.

So ou yea the best part of the fic. Still doesn't make it enough for me to do read over and over again. I don't even know why I have read this so many times. Maybe cuz I don't remember reading this when I'm looking for fics... Well maybe.

 Paris under the snow, in winter. Mail didn't expect to be abducted after work. Neither did he expect his abductor to be a Mafia boss his age, clueless, scared, and in love. Even less did he expect to be released. So why coming back? A bedtime fairytale...

Ou god. Mello in this one was so un-Mello but in the end he was so Mello and... I dont know. But I wouldn't say this is a bedtime fairytale. To me this was just one fic without that yaoi part and with a good plot. Yea.

But everything starts with Mello kidnapping Matt so he could get to know Matt. But ofc Matt doesnt like that so much and is a little bit too hard on Mello. Everything starts to go little better after a couple accidents and Matt finally kinda gives in on Mello but fucks that but with lieing and yea. Not gonna spoil the whole fic.

Like I said in the beging I didn't like Mello in this one. He was way too ooc even when it all was explained in the end, it just didnt fit well in my mind. Mello isnt some shy guy who cant ask someone out to date or cant just walk in that store and talk. Mello just does things with his own arrogance. It was all explained in the end but it still doesnt change anything.

But Matt was like Matt in this fic. He was game addicted and didnt have so much ooc things in his character. His background was good too and so. Maybe I didnt understand his reasons to go back to talk to Mello so much but I don't have to understand everything.

The ending was good without that yaoi part. It would have destroyed to me if it had had the yaoi. But to me it came I a little too soon. I would have liked their relationship to have a little bit more time to develop. Now it felt little bit way too light and not so deep than it could have been if they had know each other a more than week.

Anyways. The thing I really liked was at the begining. Whole description and how it was full of holes and how it didnt tell you much even when it really was telling you a lot of things. It was just so beautiful and nice.

He had wandered in there, a small line of shops around one of the city's railway stations, to escape a diluvian rain tearing the sky all of a sudden, as he was walking the streets aimlessly, just for the sake of being outside, for once.
He had waited for the sky to clear, or the rain to at least lessen a bit so it wouldn't be stinging his face, helped by the cold January wind.

Its shame that the writer couldnt keep the same style for the whole fic. It would have brought so much mystery and exciting to the fic and made it more extraordinary. It is really a shame. Still the fic was good and all it would have been just so much better with that style. Yea.

Seaweed [Death Note, Mello/Matt, NC-17, death]

Near's entertaining the lie, keeping Matt working for him, with the belief that Mello's dead. Mello, shadow of himself, thinking that Matt's dead too, suddenly takes revenge on Near just to numb the pain... and finds Matt in a condition he didn't expect.

I thought I had read all good MelloxMatt fics but I found one more. And yea. I just love those two genious and their games and chocolate and mafia and cigarets... I just love everythin about them because they have all the things I would love to have on my own characters. Yea.

Still this Seaweed. I don't really understand how that name has something to do with this fic but maybe it doesnt matter. Kira has died and Mello somehow survived from his death in that car (and it wasnt some stupid explanation, it was good) and then Matt has survived from all those bullets. But they both think the other is dead and their life is way too hollow until Mello decides to kill Near and tracks him down. In the end he doesnt kill Near but finds Matt and then the happy part starts. Okey. Near's destiny isn't so happy and so but yea.

There was lots of description that I fell in love with. I'm not gonna quote one cuz I read this on my phone and I'm too lazy to write the things here or find it via laptop. So anyways. There was some so raw things and how the writer didnt even try to make things little bit beautiful or nice. The things are written like they are and not changed to anything.

And then how they all made choices that affected to them and how their past affected to everything. Then all that together. Well this wasnt one perfectly written, really good quality piece but this was good in a way of imperfect way. But Seaweed wasnt bad still, the not so perfect things made it better and that way got more feeling in there. Yea.

But so fell in love with this that I don't even know what to say. Maybe I'm gonna go and read more fics from this writer. Yea.
