Harry likes kids. That doesn't mean he's ready for a small boy to turn up on the doorstep of Grimmauld Place insisting that Harry is his father. That was weird enough, but the child identifying Draco Malfoy as his other parent was something Harry had no bloody idea how to handle.

I have no idea how I speed read this through like in four hours. No fucking clue.

Okay. So first of all, when I opened this one, I didn't expect much. I didn't think I would like this, I didn't think I would actually finish reading this and I thought that this is again one of these super shitty way written fics that I just regret opening. But nope. This was everything I did not expect this to be.

So basically here is everything that good Harry Potter fic has. The crazy magic accident that no one can explain. Kids that just happens to know shit without actually knowing anything. Draco and Harry being super stupid about shit and kind of not communicating through shit. Mixing Muggle stuff to the magic stuff. And so on. Maybe this has everything that I love in Harry Potter fics? Probably.

But the thing that actually made this even better was the communication. They talked about stuff (maybe they needed a little push once in a while but still), no one created unnecessary drama and they actually functioned somewhat like you would expect them to. Everyone had some growing to do, everyone was trying to be better for themselves and they weren't too grown up for their age.

So yea. This had everything that I like in fics and more. I don't even like kid fics that much, but this was fun and interesting with the whole kid idea running there. Also all that debate about time-travelling and which came first, chicken or egg, was just awesome.

Please. Go and read this. Totally worth it. Seriously.

... best-selling author Draco Malfoy and savior Harry Potter have been rumored to be in a romantic relationship for a long time now, and every so often there are little hints given away in interviews which corroborate the claims. "Drarry" fans are waiting patiently for the official statement that they're together.

I am trying new things in fics. Like new genres and different ways to enjoy fiction. Somehow I found this. I have tried to read fics that are only dialogue or only letters and most of the time those fics don't really make that much sense to me.

But this. This was fun. Different. I smiled through the whole fic. I liked reading about their relationship from other perspectives and how people just knew about them. I also liked how kind of shitty they were at hiding the relationship. Like yeah, they probably promised that they were not gonna lie about it but at the same time not to say anything. Which made it so much more fun.

The only thing I am really missing is the backstory, their backstory. How did they get to this point, how they work and what do they actually do. But this fic is not even supposed to be about that. This is supposed to be bits and pieces from here and there. And it worked perfectly in all the ways it was supposed to work.

And I loved this. I really do.

One cannot choose their soulmate; the lack of a choice should be something that’s talked about. It should be something that is explored in depth, and not shoved under the rug. The name inked to Harry's skin didn’t define his future. The curve of the letters didn’t control his life. No one was going to be the deciding factor but him. The right to choose should be widespread, and Harry was going to fight for that, he was going to scream until the world started listening.

I have never really figured out what I think about soulmate fics. Like.. Bear with me. Like, on one hand, there is this perfect person for you. This one person who will compliment you, help you, be there for you and they are just the perfect for you. And the same goes the other way around. You are perfect for someone in every possible way and you will be super happy together.

But the thing that actually makes it weird is that there are seven fucking billion of us on this planet alone. Then there are aliens and other whatever in another galaxy. So the chances of finding that perfect one (or two or three or trillion) for yourself is pretty much impossible. Someone did the math for this once and it was pretty depressing math (also, it didn't include other planets and lifeforms).

So on this side, there is pretty much zero chance on finding the perfect person (lifeform, whatever) for you. But then there is the downside. Like there is the trauma that any person can come against in their life. They could get abused, end up in war and so on and so on. If this person was perfect for you and he becomes insane or violent after the trauma that they have come, what happens then? Are they still perfect for each other or does that change the board and the people get new soulmates?

Also the whole thing with just one soulmate. Is it just the one and if that doesn't really work out, that's it? That's all your happiness in life and everything went shit. Yea I know, shit happens. But soulmates are fairytales that don't actually make any fucking sense in the long run.

So basically. Fate should know what happens with your life, all the tragedies, all the happiness, all the places you will be and still be able to find that one? Yea. Maybe fairytales. But still doesn't really make that much sense just say that yea fate says this so this makes me happy. No free will, no takebacks. No nothing. Everything in your life has been decided even before you were born or even before anyone was born. Because that is the only way soulmates could even work.

That is why I have not made up my mind about soulmates. In a nutshell.

This fic is pretty much a huge fuck you to the whole soulmate idea. In a way. They still value the whole soulmate idea and how they could be perfect for each other because of fate. And they are trying to show that they still had a say in this whole business and how they want it to work, but only because they have the power to make it or not. And I liked that.

Maybe the whole concept has more flaws and way too many holes, but it sounds pretty. And maybe that's why I want to promote the one fic where everything is under a question but still making some sense. So this is my kind of soulmate fic. Yup.

As their eyes meet now, the expression on Malfoy's face, hard to place as it is, makes Harry wish he hadn't spoken.

”No fucking way.”

Sneaky Snape. No, wait. I'm not still sure if Snape was sneaky or not. Probably. At least I love the idea and would totally go and investigate it more if I can find more stories about sneaky Snape. Yup.

The rest of the fic is just fluff and two stupid boys being dumb. Okay. They may have an actual conversation in here somewhere. Blink and you will miss it. Or not really. The whole fic is more about them actually talking and not just hexing and fighting. I am not 100% sure if you can call that peacefull conversation but its a start with these two. Yup.

This goes straight to that category "weirdest fics I have read". Not the way because you would think but for a completely weird reason.

The whole fic feels like a dare. I dare you to propose to someone you haven't even thought about that way before. I dare you to actually mean it. I dare you to get them to say yes. Something like that. Well. Maybe not 100% like that, but pretty close.

Part of the weirdness is also the part where I don't really remember how it all began, I only remember how it ended. It just got out of hand so fast that it was pretty much downhill from there. It kind of felt like a rehearsed conversation but at the same time, it felt totally natural and something like brain fart.

Weird as fuck. Awesome as fuck too. So totally worth it. Seriously.

Draco dreaded going back to Hogwarts after the war. He was sure this would be his worst year yet: the school hated him, the Slytherins have abandoned him, and his dorm was overrun with Gyffindors. There was no way anything good could come out of this mess, right?

I have been sitting here the past hour and trying to re-read this fic. Why? Because I don't know what I want to say about this fic. The thing is, I want to say something and tell you about this awesome story that is really slow-build (you blink and you miss it kind of thing). But at the same time, something is going forward every second of the fic.

Yea. Draco is outcast and so is everyone else. Harry is avoiding everyone and Draco just wants to study in peace. Hermione tries to fix everything. Ron is just Draco's roommate. And there is maybe going some threesome with the gang. Maybe. At least Draco is having fun with the idea and Harry is pouting.

Somewhere there are Blaise and Pansy and Greg and all the rest Slytherin students. And maybe they are just trying to live to the next day, just like everybody else. But they survived, they are trying to get better, trying to find their way in life. Something, something, something.

And maybe this is 20 000 words of peace and studying and avoiding. Maybe this is the 8th year story where everything is just quiet and nothing happens. Maybe this is the school year that every year before this one should have been. Maybe the world is so weird for them because they are not used to the normal world.

The thing is. War changes things. War affects people. And this is the story where veterans try to merge to the world without war and maybe they are successful in that. Or maybe not. But they are trying.

This is one of the weirdest things I have ever read so far. Seriously. Nothing is really surprising in here but seriously what the fuck is going on here. Also. Blaise is the best.

This also makes so much sense. Like everything seems so much clearer and even their fighting has a purpose. And that's it. Seriously. Just read it. Please. This is awesome.

The worst part is Harry’s got no idea why Malfoy keeps sending him invites. He’s never replied to a single one. And if the whole dinner is as exclusive and sought-after as the Prophet keeps breathlessly reporting, then presumably the only reason Malfoy wants him there is in his capacity as the Chosen One. So, really, he can fuck right off. Harry doesn’t care about Draco Malfoy’s redemption tour. And he’s certainly not going to help him with it.

I may be addicted to the idea that Harry suffers the most after the war. Like he doesn't really have anything he wants to do after the war, he has no goals, nothing is happening and his whole life has been suffering in different forms. First his super bad relatives, then weird school years where he is always almost dying, then the whole war and actually dying. It would be pretty weird if any of that wouldn't really affect him at all.

So. I really like the idea that Harry is lost and that he has PTSD and maybe that he is kind of paralyzed because no one is actually making him suffer and no one is telling him what to do anymore.

And then there is Draco who is trying to go back to his roots and just going with the flow with Muggle things. I really liked the idea that he learns how to use a phone and computer. How he finds a new life in the Muggle world.

Then the charities. I liked that idea. Draco doing something really outside of the box and it still has the values of tradition and how there have been seven generations of Malfoys doing the charity dinners. I liked that idea, I liked how it just made Draco feel so Draco but the adult version of himself.

The thing is. This ending is so fucking adult that I even can't anymore. They are just so adult and grown up and trying to make the world a better place. And in the meantime, they are actually trying to heal and be better themselves. I liked that. I also liked the peace and quiet the fic radiated. Everyone was just so calm and perfect and I loved it.

There probably wasn't that many things I didn't like. I can't even think one right now. So yea. Go and read this. Seriously.

When Harry Potter unintentionally severs their soulbond before it can fully form, Draco Malfoy resigns himself to a slow death and decides not to burden Harry with a soulmate he's made it very clear he doesn't want.

He's never been selfless before, but for Harry, he can try.

Crying. That's the thing you will do if you read this thing. And still, you will love every second of it.

The thing I want to talk about is the ending. I had two scenarios that I was rooting for. And I am not gonna tell you how this ends because that would be just rude.

Scenario one is that Draco dies at the end. For some reason I really wanted this fic to end to that. I really, really did. Maybe because once super sad ending would have made so much more sense and would be refreshing. So Draco dying and the ending would have everyone sad. I don't really care if anyone knows or not who Draco's soulmate is in this scenario. It doesn't really matter if no one would find out at the end. Maybe it would be even better that no one knew, there would be no one to blame and they would all just be sad and miserable together. Yea.

That was the first scenario I was rooting for. And I was rooting for it from the beginning until a certain point in the story. Which was when I came up the second scenario.

In this one I wanted Harry to find out that he was the soulmate. Maybe Ron or Hermione telling him about it, maybe him figuring it out by himself. There were moments when he could get the small information and at some point, he would just put it all together. I don't know how the magic works (no one in fic was 100% certain how it works, just the guidelines etc) but then somehow Harry would just accept Draco as his soulmate. Draco would slowly get better and they would probably not talk about and just be stubborn two idiots.

To be honest, I didn't really think that scenario any further than that. Maybe they would just continue to be friends until someone cracks or something. I really don't know.

But the thing is. Those two scenarios were the ones I was rooting for. There is always the third options where they actually know how to talk and be functional. Also, Draco survives in that third scenario. The fourth one is the mixture of them all, Harry finding out and yelling Draco about it and Draco surviving. The fifth is Harry finding out, not liking the outcome, not talking to Draco and Draco dies. But I wasn't rooting for those scenarios or any other scenarios that could have happened.

There is only one other thing I want to mention about this fic. I liked the way Ron talked about his and Harry's relationship. Like since the school, he felt like he was the second option and how Harry would have loved to talk to Draco rather than Ron. Like Draco was always the first option, even when he wasn't really an option. And all that without Harry even noticing how he put Draco first.

I would love to read fics that actually concentrated on that point and made it seem an even better idea. I would really love that. But in the meantime, I am going to love this fic and enjoy it and all those little details. Thanks.

Harry and Draco have been falling into bed on and off again since the last election five years ago, much to the amusement--and financial gain--of their circle of friends. But when Harry agrees to work with Draco to put Kingsley Shacklebolt into the Minister's office, they can't work side-by-side again every day and sleep together; that would be courting disaster. Wouldn't it?

How can someone write so awesome political conversations as this has? Like seriously. Pure gold all that. I kinda didn't keep that much track of the politics while reading but how they spoke about them and how they had opinions and they fought about their opinions. Then the reasons behind everything and the different sides of things and wow. Just wow.

Okey. I am gonna admit that I didn't like the storytelling type. The whole written from someone's point of view thing. I have read so many bad fics with those that just seeing it makes me dislike the fic a lot. But I am super happy I read this even with my prejudices. I didn't change my opinion about the point of view but I liked this despite all that. (I also missed like a whole night sleep because of this, but so worth it).

The plot itself is pretty simple. These two idiots are in love and just fucking each other. The fic (that is oneshot, I almost didn't put the oneshot tag here because of almost 70 000 words) comes from four parts depending on where these two are in their relationship. It gets better and then it gets worse and then better and it's a roller coaster (like it says in the author's notes). But it was good rollercoaster where was a point and you liked it without crying.

I also liked Blaise a shit tonne of a lot. His swearing was maybe a little bit too much but it went to so much over that it was pretty amazing. His whole character was way over the top and that was everything I loved about him in here. I also liked the whole Hermione and Blaise thing. Somehow those two just kinda felt good there (also Ron and Pansy and all other pairings there were). Which is kinda weird but I like how this fic tried to reach perfectness on so many levels and succeed in that.

And maybe I had something else to say about this but I really can't remember right now. So hopefully this will even make you open this and consider reading. Totally worth it!

“Yeah, thanks,” Harry said, because he hadn’t just spent the last week contemplating just how much more horrible his summer holidays were about to be than they’d ever been before.

I was so sure I had blogged about this that I didn't almost double check to be sure. Thank god I did because I have not blogged about this, surprise, surprise. And now that kinda leaves me with a problem. What to say about this?

Okey. First of all, I have read this about three times now and every time this amazes me how good this is and how much I like this. I know the plot and I know how it all ends etc etc but still I can reread this dozen of times.

The second thing is how the plot is all said in the summary. That's it. That's the whole plot. These two just make it work and they chemistry just makes it better. So that's all about that subject here.

But. The thing I want to talk about is my favourite parts here. First of those is Draco, how he starts to understand Harry's past and sees what kinda childhood Harry had. The same goes with Harry and Draco's childhood. Yea. Then that gets to the point how all that understanding and being there for each other just makes them closer.

After that comes the part where the writer leaves so much stuff out of the story telling. They tell you that something happens but we don't talk about it so it's not mentioned until they kinda talk about it. Like only stuff that they talk about and are actually telling each other and being adults about are mentioned in the fic. Everything that is not important is in the background. There could probably be the shit tonne of stuff about how they avoided Dursleys and what it was like to live with them. Also, they probably did also something else than flew or fixed the tower. Yea. But it's not important to the plot, so it's not mentioned. I really liked how everything was prioritised. Yup.

About Hermione and Ron. I never really know how to feel about them in these kinda fics. Never really thought about why they react the way they are reacting or even going any deeper with those two. I just don't understand them and sometimes I feel like the writer doesn't know how to make them be part of the story while being themselves and still being understanding. Or something. I don't know and here the same question stays. Maybe I should find a fic where Hermione and Ron wouldn't be such a big question mark for me so I could get deeper into that (rereading HP series didn't help either so help me).

So anyways. I am stuck with HP fics again. Hopefully, I can keep finding fics I have not written about (hopefully I can find new HP fics altogether, fingers crossed). Remember to leave kudos and comments for the writer and share other good HP fics in the comments. Thank you! ♥

Actually I read this like ages ago. Can't even remember when. And then, couple days ago, I was just way too bored and opened this. I didn't even realize that I had read this until like in chapter two or something. Because all I could remember was the ending, so I kept going and seriously, all I really wanted to read again was how Harry and Draco gets together (because thats the point of the whole fic?).

So the whole thing is basically Harry being angsty emo who is lonely and wants to get married and have kids. And Draco having this dating service that helps people to find their soulmates (or at least some golden matches). And you can all guess that Harry becomes Draco's client and they are soul mates. Yea. It all happens. What happens next is all drama and things how Draco can't tell everything to Harry and Harry being stupid. Yea.

But the important part was magic. How magic works and how you can't cheat magic with magic. (And maybe some part about their relationship was important but I got stuck to the magic part). Because in the whole fic the magic was well thought and it really made sense and how there was two sides of everything. Yea. I really liked that. Like really, really liked.

And maybe I should also blog about how those two got together but I really don't want to do that. I just want you to read it and find out. All I needed to know about this, to make me happy, was that they will get together and no one will die because of that. Okey. Maybe there is some pining and sad thoughts and other shit but isn't there always ? Like really.

Now that Harry is back at Hogwarts with Hermione for eighth year, he realises that something’s missing from his life, and it either has to do with Ron, his boggart, Snape, or Malfoy. Furthermore, what, exactly, does it mean when one’s life is defined by the desire to simultaneously impress and annoy a portrait? Harry has no idea; he’s too busy trying not to be in love with Malfoy to care.

I went through the whole blog and I cant even understand why I havent blogged about this one before. To be honest, right now I cant even remember if I even read this through but thats all beyond the point. And maybe the most important part is that Im blogging about this right now. Yea. Hopefully. Because this whole thing is amazing.

Probably should say something about the fic itself too. Harry and co came back to Hogwarts to finnish their studies and the NEWTS. And Harry is just so lost with his life, all he knows is that he doesnt want to become an Auror. Draco on the other hand is just trying to survive and find his place in the world.

Then potions happen and then falling in love happens and then shit comes down and fantasy league happens there somewhere along the lines and maybe a happy ending is there at some point.

But the reason why I want to give so much credit for this is all that stuff with the magic and potions. Everything has been well thought. Everything. There is logic behind how potions are created and how wizards are different with understanding about them and then how magic and potions work together. And then on top of that there are some basic physics stuff. And if that is not enough lets mix it all together and call it alchemy. Yup.

The best part comes when it all actually works and makes sense and its just plain awesome. Seriously. I dont even know where to start with the praises. This whole thing is just that great.

And the characters dont even get to be left behind. They grow and change and understand each other and if they dont understand something they work for it and not just gain something out of nowhere. Its just... Perfect ? Maybe.

This whole thing is every reason why I love the HP fandom so much. Its not just about characters or the world, its about taking all of that and going one steo further and then anothee step. And there are so many good pieces.

So go and fucking read this. And leave Kudo and Comments and make the author feel loved. Thank you.

Different is the word Im gonna use a lot in this blog entry. It is probably the only word I can think about to describle this one. Of course there are some cliches from other HP fictions (like how everyone has paired off with each other and things like that) but the setting and the plot makes it all different.

Harry and Draco are 40-and-something and they have kids and ex-wife and a dead wife and lots of life experience. But they haven't gotten over their love affair over 20 years ago (or at least Harry isn't but I believe Draco is the same) and now at Ginny's second wedding it all comes back to Harry. So. The whole story is how Harry is so in love with Draco but cant or dont know how to admit the fact to himself. And they dance around it and shit like that.

But the reasons why I love this so much. First of all how this happens a way after Harry and Ginny have broken up and they have figured their life again and everything is actually pretty good in their life. There is not shitty break ups or other stupid drama like that in their life (the kids are totally different matter but who the fuck gives a shit, still different).

The second thing would be how Harry is somehow messed up but not like really, really bad way. His life is pretty good and he isn't unhappy, he just content, probably. But there isnt anything life altering shit going on in their lifes. This is just a part from where Harry finally finds one part of himself that he lost somewhere along the road. And that is good. Really, really good.

So. What I really wanna say is that you open this fic and at least read the couple first sentences. They are good and awesome and pure gold. Yup.

I hate politiks, I really, really do. They are not boring or something like that its just how people are stupid, stupid and then they try to rule the fucking world while being stupid. Yup. And I really hate stupid people too.

So the fic pretty much is all about politiks and election and shit like that. Somehow there is still room for Draco and Harry to be in love with each other and not admitting it to each other. And all that means moping, fucking (a lot of fuckin), living together, a cat ? and lots of other shit. Yup.

And we cant forget that this is an oneshot with almost 70 000 words (yea, not kidding) and it took me more like five hours to read it through, I think. But this was good, like really good. I wanna give points how british the English was, like really British. There were all arse over tit and shite. The whole thing just screamed British and have to say but it was probably one of the best parts of the whole fic without lying.

After we get over that fact there were lots of other parings too (Blaise/Hermione, Ron/Pansy, Draco/Astoria, Harry/OMC and some others) but they were all kinda minor.. Well some more than others so not gonna list them there and it all still was about Harry and Draco so the other parings dont really matter. Yep.

And Blaise swears a lot, like really. I think every other word is fuck or some compination from the same league. That should be a warning, I think, but the writer didnt put it to the warnings so neither am I. He. Still just saying.

But if you are up for reading a really long oneshot, I recommend to consider this one, really do. This is good and worth it. It is just long but thats just minor detail, he.

I should probably find a better rating system but I have used this one the last... 6 years ? in fanfiction world so it will probably take a while before I can manage that.

But the fic is all about how Malfoy got a cloud on top of his head and its raining all the time. The only relief is when Potter is around doing something or more like kissing Draco. Ofc it isnt that simple for those stupid, stubborn idiots so there are lots of misunderstandings and sulking and shit. In general pretty much all you could think of the whole paring. Yup.

Okey. There are mentions of other parings but Im not really interested in listing those, they are just mentions after all. And they wont probably even disturb you to the point where you couldnt the fic.. So fuck off stupid details.

I really liked Draco. How he was sulking and not liking lots of things that were happening. I also liked how he didnt notice some things that were happening and how the writer was able to keep the fic loyal to Draco and not reveal some stupid things, like what Harry thinks, and was just able to let Draco control the fic.

Still the whole thing made Harry seem a little bit ooc in my head. He felt like this really leader type who was strong and knew what he was doing but the same time he was this sweet guy who always takes care of others. Okey. he IS the latter but... you just have to read it to understand what I mean. On the other hand there were scenes where Draco seemed like this innocent school girl but that thing happened like... once and didnt even feel that bad it just felt kinda wrong for a second and then I forget all that continued reading. He.

Still this is good, like really good (if it is long for onshot) and it didnt even felt that long while reading. Yeaa... Well. I just wanted to say I loved this one and this was awesome and all that normal shit. Yup. Totally a fic worth reading. Yup.

The whole fic is about how everyone is secretly gay. Ha. No. Just joking. But Harry is gay and doesnt know it or he knows it but is afraid of telling himself that or something. Malfoy is openly gay and Ginny kicks Harry out of their apartment because of reasons. And Malfoy fucks almost everyone who comes two metre radius. Yup. That sounds more like it.

This isnt a crack fic, Im just too tired to really give a shit how to explain everything so it all could sound nice and beautiful and shit. But now when I think about it, this could make a damn good crack fic, maybe. I dont read crack that much so I dont really know.

But back to the fic itself. I really liked how everyone had their own secrets and the writer didnt just tell them to you via some stupid excuse. The characters told their own secrest when the time was right or just blurted them out by accident. Still the secrets werent just secrets, they affected to the characters behavior even when sometimes it felt like they didnt but they still did. And then I liked how awkward some things were. It just bought out how human they were after all.

Then there are all the things that are just piling up.

Okey. The thing I dont like is the reason why Ginny and Harry broke up. Okey. The reason itself is good and so on but how Harry acts after it its kinda odd. Im not gonna tell the reason cuz its just gonna spoil the fic but everyone else is acting like they are kinda suppose to but Harry is just... kinda denial or something. But even if he is in denial I think he still acts kinda odd.

Well it could all be in my head and it doesnt really destroy the fic so maybe Im again complaining about too minor things. Ha. So the fic is still good and I think I have read this through three times at least. So that should be telling something. Yup.
